Princess has arrived from Missouri. Along the transport trail she was awarded Miss Congeniality, and believe me, this is a well chosen title. Princess is just that! Her level of shock tolerance is truly amazing, having lived all her life surrounded with many dogs, noises and smells to land in a house with no other four-legged critters. She is in a word - spectacular. VERY happy girl.

Princess is of medium stature, walks well (already) on a leash, has beautiful teeth, clear sparkling eyes. OK, foster mom is in love! With all that, she even has command of her bodily functions. OK, that may be premature--we haven't hit hour 12 yet! Her happy tail, however, DOES tell the tale - Miss Congeniality indeed.

Princess was vetted last night to update shots and a very mild ear infection was noted. We will get her to the vet this week to take care of that as well as hit the spa.

We will update you later this week.

How quickly they grow up! Ms. Princess (Sallie) has grown and changed nearly every day. She is a steady companion with such a sweet personality. Is she perfect? Neither is foster mom! Princess is responsive to requests. She walks very well on a leash--she does "drift" from side to side if the "driver" (me) isn't paying attention, but I would give her an "A" for walking. She has learned she can run and seems so happy when she does--in the backyard on this one. Playing with "toys"-- well, not so much. She is still discovering.

Her appetite is good. She is even learning about "treats"! And yes, I would say she is potty trained. She is completely healed from her spay and SO ready for her forever home. She has had several play dates with neighborhood dogs and does well after a greeting or two. I do think she is a dominant female who loves loves loves exploring with other four-legged pals. She did meet a Golden yesterday and two-year-old twins--two-legged brothers. EVERYONE did very well. Foster Mom was smiling.

Consider welcoming Princess into your family. She is a true Golden.
