Welcome Libby to RAGOM! She came all the way up from Georgia a couple days before Christmas with her siblings. She is an 11-pound, 13 week old Sheppard/retriever mix, with thicker black and brindle colored fur, similar to a Sheppard and a cute little black face with markings reminding me of a raccoon around her eyes.
She has been here almost two weeks, and is already potty trained! A couple accidents at the beginning when it was REALLY COLD, but now she knows to go outside. Never once has she had an accident in her kennel, which she shares with her sister Cookie 13-424.
She has been to the vet and had a good check up. She will be on the smaller side; the vet thinks around 40 pounds . She was too young for all her shots so we go back next week and then she will be UTD, spayed and ready for her forever family!
What we know so far about Libby:
· She gets along great with dogs and children, don’t know about cats yet
· She has been with kids 8-24 and charms everyone.
· She wiggles her whole body when she sees you, a very happy girl
· She is more independent than her sister and plays more with the 4 other dogs here
· She loves to play in the snow
· She is not a Velcro dog, but does like to be cuddled and loved. She sits next to me on the couch while I read or do computer work (with three of the other dogs) and is fine when I am out of the room. She can entertain herself and play nice with her sister Cookie (13-424) and 6 month old Remmy (13-251)
· She is smart and will do well in puppy school.
· She goes to bed about 10:30 – 11 and sleeps all night in her kennel, no peeps until she hears the other dogs come down in the morning around 8!
· She can jump the baby gate I have up, but when I put her back and say no, she stays on that level of the house.
· She has not walked on a leash yet, but I will work on that AFTER our next cold spree!
