Hello! My name is Jake and I'm a LOVEABLE 17 month old Golden! I've got a BIG frame and I'm already 63 pounds. I could stand to gain a couple pounds yet though! I'm your typical velcro golden and a typical young pup. I'm VERY strong and will need A LOT of exercise. I have a LOT of energy and would probably love to be someone's running partner! I think I'll also need to go to an obedience class.

I've lived with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids. Because of my higher energy level, I'd do best with kids that are old enough (Maybe over 8?) to stay out of my way, because I'm too young to know to watch out for them!

I've been on a tie out, but would probably prefer a fenced yard, because I LOVE to run and chase my tennis ball. I walk really well on my gentle leader too. I sleep in my crate through the night and stay there during the day. When I come rushing out, I look for a stuffy to run around with! I like to show everyone my "prizes"!

I saw the vet this week to get UTD and will be neutered this Friday, the 5th.

My name is Mike H. and I adopted Jake/ Red in November 2011. We moved to Oregon in 2015. This last week Red was diagnosed with cancer and I ended up putting having to put him down.

I took him to three different veterinarians and none could help him. He had a large tumor that had ruptured and it had perforated his abdomen when it did. I did everything I could but he couldn’t be saved.

He had a great life and I wanted to thank you for allowing me to adopt Red. He was a great dog, he was loved and will be missed very much.

I just wanted to let you know and thank you, he was a blessing.

Best Regards
Mike H.- Red's proud owner!
