Rex 04-319

Profile

Hello, my name is Rex.

I am a dark colored Golden Retriever with a rather small head for a male Golden. I love to play fetch and enjoy being around people. I mean really, really close. I only know the command sit and don't do it very well. I am currently learning down and no. I stay in the yard fine and don't bother many people walking past on the sidewalk. I am three years old and this is the first time I have been away from my father, who is dying of cancer. I am very skinny and they are starting to fatten me up here. I am prematurely gray which is odd being that I am only three years old - I feel like my foster dad!!!!!! I walk well on a leash and I stay right by your side. I enjoy long walks at night and would probably enjoy hiking, too. I just got neutered last week and I am up to date on my shots.

See you later, bye!

Today is Rex's one year anniversary of his adoption!!! We just wanted to thank you again for all that you did to make our family complete!! He has been the best boy! Today I took him in the car while I did my errands and two separate people approached the car and said "what a good looking dog you have!" As I look back on the pictures that we took on the day that we got him, and look at him now, it's unreal how he has filled out and changed! What a bunch of love will do to an animal (and to his humans too!)

Thanks again for all that you do to save this special breed! I've attached a picture from this summer with Rex and his doggie cousins sitting on our golf cart up at our cabin.

Rex and his humans send you our love!
