Rex 05-016

Profile

Rex arrived at our house on Thursday evening and has been busy settling in. He?s had lots to do the last two days, getting to the Vet and learning about the house. Rex is approximately 7 weeks old and is a Golden mix. His mother is a beautiful Golden Retriever (Ruby 05-015) and dad ? well we haven?t figured that out. The information that came with Rex said he was a purebred GR ? but I?m very sure he is not. Rex weighed in at 3 pounds on the nose yesterday and aside from a few parasites, which we got meds for, is in great health. He received his first set of vaccinations, was microchipped ? and very ready to leave the Vet?s after all that!

Rex does this very regal high-spirited little prance when he walks. He is very self assured and well adjusted for a pup of his age and takes correction from my older dogs well. He is happy to play with my youngest dog and loves to play with toys. Rex wiggles all over when he sees you and likes his belly scratched. His little fluffy tail curves over his back end and wags all the time. He also really likes his little bed ? snuggling in whenever he needs a nap.

Rex definitely has a Golden temperament ? loving, funny and happy. He will be ready to be placed soon ? so if you?re interested in adding this little guy to your family, please let placementatragom [dot] org know!

A first for me (and I've fostered a LOT of dogs). I keep the kitty litter behind a gate with a small hole for Mittens to crawl through. I've been keeping a close eye on Rex so he doesn’t go in there – but – I missed him until I found him – peeing in the kitty box!!! I guess it’s my first foster I have litter trained! So I’m all excited to tell my husband this story when he arrives home from work and what do I get . . . oh yeah, I was going to tell you he did that last night but you were already asleep! I hate men sometimes . . .
