We've had Rex for about a week and a half now and we can say without a doubt that this is one very nice dog! He was a little confused at first and had some trouble with all the steps in our house. But he has settled in nicely and blended into our pack with no problems.

Rex is 7 years old, neutered, and now completely up to date on his shots. He is heartworm negative and weighs about 75 pounds. Rex was taken to a humane society with two other dogs when his owners moved. He gets along great with our three resident dogs and could care less about the cat. He has not been around children yet.

The vet said he has arthritis in his legs and he does seem stiff when getting up or after a walk. But maybe he is just out of condition because of not walking or exercising. He really loves to go for walks and gets all excited when he sees the leashes. He walks very nicely on a leash too. And speaking of getting excited, you should see this little dance he does whenever we come home! He follows us everywhere even if we're just walking a few feet away - but he's not a pest at all. He's very content to just be next to us.

He knows several commands including sit, down, shake, stay. He needs to teach our resident dogs a few things! He rides in the car very well. He is completely housebroken and we have given him free roam of the house while we're at work without any problems. His surrendering owners reported a history of seizures but he has never been on any medication. Other than that and the arthritis already mentioned, he is a healthy boy. He could stand to lose just a little bit of weight but that will probably come off with regular exercise. We think he is just a sweetheart!
