Hello Everybody,

New guy on the block!!! He is a 5 year old purebred Golden named Mr. Riley - "Riley" for short. As you can see he is a beautiful red with a white splash on chest. He is good with children, got along with our two dogs and a friend's three dogs, housebroke, no accidents in our home. He has free roam, no problems. He came with a warning he will counter surf but we are used to that. Loves to be with people a lot!!! He likes to sleep in our bed, so we will have a little training to do there.

His weight is right on at 88 lbs. His teeth are white and the vet (on Monday the 5th) said he was in great shape. He is very friendly to strangers, the home he came from had outdoor cats, so I do not know how he would be with indoor cats. He has been neutered and up to date on all his shots.

O.K.--- now for the only bad thing I can think of, he has some skin allergies. We are going on the change food, omega 3 trial, and work with the vet and see if we can get the skin issue under control. He does not scratch or lick, just has what looks like dandruff. He had one ear infection but after three days that looks good.

Hope to see you all at one of the Petco events.

From Riley's forever family...

Riley - what a dog! He was giving me the Golden nudge about 2 a.m. the other morning and even though I directed him to go back to sleep, he nudged me again. Thinking he might have to go outside, I got up, stumbled down the hallway to the door only to find he wasn't behind me. I called him a couple of times and then went back to the bedroom to see where he was. Lo and behold, he'd taken over my place in the bed! Don't think I'll fall for that again.

The pictures are of one his favorite things to do - sit or lay in the water. He doesn't even pretend that he is fishing.

From Riley's forever family....

Riley certainly filled an empty spot in our hearts that the death of our beloved GR Fergie left. As you can see, Riley and our mini-goldendoodle, Daisy, are best of friends.

He is very gentle with all of our 10 grandchildren (age 3 weeks to 7 years) and although he takes up way too much space on the bed, you just have to love him.

He loves fetching tennis balls and it is always a competition between Daisy & Riley to see who can get to the ball first.

Snow -well, we've had plenty of that this winter and he enjoys rolling in it. We were told that he likes to go for pontoon rides so we are anxiously waiting for summer to arrive to see if he likes swimming and fishing too. He has been to the groomer and his skin condition seems much better after two medicated baths.

Thanks RAGOM for all you do.
