Riley 10-081

Profile

Riley came to RAGOM as a stray, he was picked up by animal control but no one claimed him after 10 days. He seems to have some training as he knows sit, and appears to be house trained-no accidents!!

Riley is between 1 1/2 and two years old and a very mellow fellow. He enjoys playing with our dog and loves to be outside and play in the snow. When he is in the house he is like your shadow and follows you everywhere, sometimes getting under foot. Riley has made himself at home with us. He enjoys snuggling and unending pets!! Or he will find a comfortable place on the floor.

Riley has the softest gentlest mouth!! You don't even know when he takes treats from your hand. He does not chew or shred toys and is not sure what to do with a raw hide.

He will visit the vet this week to get up to date with shots and neutered.

Hi All,

Riley has been doing well these past few weeks. We have made great strides in his separation anxiety. We have discovered that if he is in his crate, in a room with another dog; then the separation anxiety is not so bad. In the past few weeks we have had some storms with loud thunder. He seems to get nervous during these times as well. Most of these occurances have been at night and he just snuggles into us a little more.

We really like having Riley as a foster. He is very gentle, loves to give soft kisses, and has free run of the house (both night and day) when we are home. He is a very good boy. His ideal home is one where he has a playful friend, no cats or small animals that he can chase. We have been swimming and walking a lot and he loves to fetch anything. Enjoy the new pictures!

Hi All,

Riley has learned to swim! The ice left the lakes before Easter and has warmed up quickly. While he does not yet jump off the dock, he will wade in after the dummy. Riley has also exhibited signs of separation anxiety. He will bark and drool in the crate. We leave him in the crate during work hours (about 7 hours). This only happens when he is left alone. When we are at home, he has run of the house and is a very good foster. At night he has run of the house, but likes to sleep on the bed or on top of us :-)!

Riley is a very friendly playful dog. He likes to meet other dogs and wants to play right away. He loves to fetch a ball and we are working on 'dropping' it. Riley likes car rides as well. Enjoy the new pictures of this handsome man.
