Rosie 07-220

Profile

This beautiful golden girl is 5yr old Rosie.  Rosie came to RAGOM after being surrendered by her owners, who were moving and couldn’t keep her.  In the short time Rosie has been with us, we have all had so much fun!  Rosie may not be a young pup, but she still has lots of energy for fun and games, like playing fetch and going for walks.  More than anything, Rosie is a snuggle bug!  She loves to lay with you in bed, and gets all wiggly…like she’s trying to wiggle up as close to you as she can!  Rosie is also a very devoted, loyal girl.  She likes to be wherever you are, and she spends most of her time alternating following Jerad and I.  It doesn’t take much to please her, she just loves to be around people!  Rosie also has a very unique and adorable quirk…when she gets really excited and happy….she squeaks!!  We don’t get to hear it very often, but we sure love when she does it!

Rosie is already spayed and house trained.  She is currently on some meds for a bad ear infection, but we’re hoping to get that mostly taken care of in the next week.  Yesterday Rosie had her teeth cleaned, so she has a bright new smile that she loves to show off ; )  She does great in the car, has done great meeting new dogs and kids, doesn’t mind being groomed, and is very patient with me even when I have to stick medicine in her ear.  Rosie is a very affectionate, loyal, eager to please and laid back girl.  She would be happy with some exercise and playtime every day, but would love a family that would snuggle with her and let her hangout with them throughout the day.

Over the past few days, Rosie has blossomed into an even happier, sweeter girl!  Rosie and our resident dog (Ella) have started playing more and more often...and although Rosie is 4 years older, she always out runs Ella for the frisbee!  Saturday we took both girls to a state park and explored the trails.  The girls had a lot of fun, especially when we ran into a couple of groups of kids (and they got to lick lots of outstretched hands)!

Rosie's ear infection is also doing much better.  Her ear medicine doesn't seem to bother her at all anymore, and as soon as I'm done putting it in, she dances around me as if to say "hey, that wasn't so bad!  Let's play!" Rosie adapts to new sights, sounds, people and situations very quickly.  On one walk we went past some playground equipment, which was obviously a new sight for Rosie.  We walked up to it, had the girls sniff all around it...and then Rosie just trotted on past it like she had always known what it was!

Rosie, happy on the kitchen floor after rolling in the cool morning dew!

Ella and Rosie resting after a fun filled weekend!

Rosie and Ella sunbathing, and working on the last bites of a treat.

Ella and Rosie taking a mid-afternoon nap.....when it gets so hot, all you can do is come inside and take a nap until it gets cooler!

"Wow, you mean this delicious treat keeps my breath smelling good, and my teeth clean and healthy?  That's amazing!!"
