Welcome back my sweet girl !!!

Ruby is a returning gal that was adopted 1 year ago, but was returned due to the family's living situation had changed. I know she was very much loved by them as I would receive updates from them expressing how she is just the perfect girl and how much they love her. One thing I can say is that she has not changed one bit since she left me. She is still the biggest love bug and most affectionate girl, always coming up for hugs and kisses. Very much a velcro dog :). She LOVES adults and kids and gets along with other pups and cats. Ruby could easily go to a home without another 4 legged companion as all she ever really wants to focus on is us two legged creatures.

She arrived here Saturday a.m. (thanks Esther), was let in the gate and ran right up to my door with her tail wagging. She remembered us :) She went running errands with me for about 3 hours and did great. Loves going for car rides and is just perfect in the car. Saturday I sat in the hot tub for a while which she was dying to jump in there with me. She was so cute...she would run up, check up on us try to jump in, then took off running in the yard only to come running back just to make sure we were still there. Saturday eve she was just a couch potato...she crashed in my lap while we watched a movie together.

Sunday was also a very busy day for Ruby... she and my pack decided to give back the love and help mom out with some landscaping. We planted some lilac shrubs which we mixed some manure in the soil to help stimulate the growth. Bad idea!!! As soon as I had my back to them planting another one, they were right behind me digging up the freshly placed new ones trying to get at the smell of manure. The funny thing about it is that I purchased this product on purpose due to the fact it was one of the few products out there that is a good fertilizer that is safe to have around the animals. Let's say FM was not too happy and was ready to send them all off to doggy jail.

Ruby has got the sweetest temperament... one good example is that when she arrived here for the first time last year, she just traveled with a van full of other dogs from way down south (Missouri), transported to the humane society, delivered her pups a couple of days later, then came to my house when her babies were just 3 days old. She was completely stressed out, had no clue who I was, but within a couple of hours she fully trusted me with her babies and allowed me around them. Now that is a true temperament test that she passed with flying colors.
