Give a warm loveable welcome to RUFUS!  What a gem he has been!  Rufus has been in our home since late Wednesday night.  Right away he got a long with my resident, met my daughters [who were supposed to be in bed but were excited to meet him :)]!

He did seem stressed at first with a lot of pacing and panting, but when it was time for bed, he hopped up and slept all night!  The next day I had to go into work, I put Rufus in the crate and there didn't seem to be any problem!  He was in his crate right next to our resident, so I am thinking Gretta showed him the ropes.  He has had the run of the house for a couple of hours and he was just fine, he found his spot on the couch.

Since he has been here, he has been a wonderful guest!  He follows me around most of the time.  But when our girls wake up he greets them right away.

Here are Rufus' stats:
4.5 years old (Birthdate 2/24/08)
77 pounds (the vet said he could lose about 7 pounds)
House trained
Crated trained, if needed
Great with kids, will steal their stuffed animals :)
Great with dogs
It was said that he is good with cats (but haven't seen first hand)
Enjoys being brushed
Pulls on a flat collar but walks well otherwise
Knows commands
Will counter surf and may take food from a younger child but will listen when you say 'Leave it' and 'Go Lay Down'
Enjoys stuffed toys and when you come home, he will grab one before he greets you
If you want him on your furniture, he will happily go on it, if not, he is content on the floor and dog bed as well.

I hope you enjoy the pics!
