Rusty 03-271

Profile

RUSTY is an approximately 4 year old neutered male. Gets along good with kids and other dogs. He has spent the last few months 'living in transition,' including a very short stint at an animal shelter. Rusty's physical appearance shows that he is underweight and has gotten some scratches on his face. I look into his big brown eyes and say in my doggie voice to him "Rusty, what happened, what's your story?" No answer. He just snuggles in closer to me and with his sweet disposition gets me to pet him.

Because Rusty is so skinny, I can feel his ribs when I pet him. But he has such a big heart that when he cuddles real close it's almost like you can feel his heart too. Rusty knows his name, the sit command, and walks mostly okay on a leash. Watch for another update after Rusty has the routine RAGOM Veterinary appointment.

Hello,

We just wanted to let you know that our dear Rusty went to the Rainbow Bridge last evening. We adopted Rusty from RAGOM in January of 2004. He was a beloved member of our family for over 8 years. He helped us welcome two children and was incredible with them. We loved him so much and he will be deeply missed.

I wrote a blog post about him today.

This is our favorite photo that we took of him:

We are so thankful for RAGOM for matching us with our Rusty. We are heartbroken at his loss. We love you buddy!!!

Thank you so much,
Darin, Stacey, Evie, and Eli M.
