Rylan 10-128

Profile

Please welcome Rylan to the Ragom family.  She came a long way from Iowa to Northern Minnesota to be safe and on her way to a "golden life".  She was picked up as a stray in Iowa.  She is a year old female.  Not spayed.  She is UTD on her vaccines and will be spayed next week.  She is extremely shy and not house broken at this time. She does love other dogs and gains confidence from them.  We are working on crate training and walking on a leash.  Will up date as we get to know her better.

Hi Lana fans....I know you are out there.  We had a great week....on our walk today she did not shy at cars or motorcycles.  She walks along with her furbrothers like she has always done it.  We are still working on the house breaking.  She is eating two times a day now.   She is starting to come out of her shell and is as sweet as can be.   We are working on her coming when called and she is starting to retrieve a few times.  Tomorrow she goes in for her spay so keep her in your thoughts.   Here are a couple pictures of her with her furbrothers all trying to tug on the same toy.   She does love her bones keeps her teeth pearly white.  Enjoy!

Rylan aka "Lana" is a pretty petite female on the darker side of golden color.  She weight about 40 lbs with a beautiful thick coat.  She is quite shy and needs a leash to get through the doorways.  She is starting to follow her fur brothers out the door but sometimes she just shuts down.  She is frightened of loud noises or sudden movements.     A sudden raise of the arm may frighten her.  Being she was a stray I think she may have been chased by people and or run scared in traffic.

In the week that I have had her she has become more confident on the walk as long as I have one of my dogs with us.   She goes from a frightened little girl to a happy girl when she is with another dog.  We made big strides today when she did not try to run when some people walked by us.  She also dipped her toe in Lake Superior today with the help of her fur brother, River.  He went up to his chest in water and she went in after him.

Rylan likes going in her crate and sleeps there all night in the bedroom.  She did have a opps... today in the house breaking department but that is coming along.  She enjoys stuffed animals but feels the need to take all the stuffing out in record time.  She is starting to respond to her name and likes to chase tennis balls but can't quite figure out why I am calling her name to come.  More on retrieving later………  I am looking forward to good things from this girl.
