Sadie had a vet visit last Tuesday and she checked out fine. She is 53 lbs and still growing. She had her rabies shot, boosters, was microchipped and had blood drawn for her spay - all turned out well. She was exposed to Parvo last Saturday before she came to us. She had been immunized for Parvo, but the vet said to keep an eye on her for 10 days - so far she is doing well. She has an appointment to be spayed on February 4th.
Sadie is such a lovebug as she lays here while I write this. Her favorite toy is the Kong. I put peanut butter in it with a biscuit and it keeps her busy for awhile. Stuffed animals are not a good thing for her. She likes to disassemble them. Stuffing, squeeker, the whole bit.
Sadie has learned to walk with a Gentle Leader really well. Getting it on her is still a challenge but she is getting better with that. We live on a dirt road, and Lewie and I walk on the road, while Sadie walks in the snowbank.
We are still working on house training, but she is coming along and I think she will have it down by the time she can be adopted after her spay.
Till next time,
Sadie's foster mom
