Sadie was rescued by a good Samaritan when she and her sister Sara 08-463 were abandoned.  They were originally from a back yard breeder in South Dakota, and then went to the next owner who had them for 4 years.  They never saw the vet and were kept outside.  Their age is estimated to be 8-9 years old.  They have been to the vet and are in great shape.  Sadie does have an issue with her Thyroid and will be given another test for further details about it.  She will just have to be kept on Thyroid medication for the rest of her life.  They both have whipworms, ear infections and each have a fractured tooth that needs to be watched.  They will both be spayed on Thursday.  After all they have been through, they are the sweetest ladies.  Sadie is the more adventurous, independent one, and Sara is the dependent one, who either needs to be by her sister, or a human.  They are about 90% housetrained and sleep quietly all night in an ex-pen that surrounds their blankets.  Sadie has the cutest smile and loves to give her paw.  Sara is the more playful one and will chew on a bone or play with a rope.  We also have Madison 08-486 here, who is about 10 weeks, and Sara is the one who plays with him and is teaching him his manners.  Both girls were probably moms during their stint at the breeder.
The best news of all is that they are adoption pending!!!  They met their new daddy at the Petco event on Saturday, and he wants BOTH of them!  What a selfless act of love!  Thank you so much Mitch B!  They will finally be home!
