Sadie Bell 08-587

Profile

Introducing Sadie Bell!  Sadie is 1 year old ,  65 pounds and rather tall - about 25 inches at the shoulder.  She is a beautiful honey color, very light but not blonde.  She is a big puppy trying to learn some big girl manners!

Sadie Bell met the resident Golden without a hitch.  She seems very comfortable with other dogs and loves to play.  She pounced on the first toy that she saw,  then proceeded to take every toy out of the box and spread them conveniently around the living room.  Then,  she plopped down on resident golden Jake's favorite dog bed and made herself right at home.  She has clearly been an inside dog but needs to learn some basic commands and leash skills.   Her first vet visit went fine and she is scheduled for a spay on 12/11.  More to come!

Sadie Belle's spay went fine and she is recovering nicely.  The doctor said to keep her quiet for a couple weeks (yeah, right) and Sadie obliged by keeping quiet for a couple of DAYS.   Now that the weather is too cold for our normal long walks,  Sadie aka "Wild Girl" Belle is bouncing around the house, running upstairs, downstairs, in circles, wrestling with Jake and constantly sqeaking on the weird rubber ball with feet.  (it's a dog toy,  what will they think of next?)   Everyone is tired out except Sadie!

She is learning to sit right now - it's a challenge although she does know to sit when the treats come out. She wants to check out everything, every toy, every sock, every paper. She has no aggressions or resource guarding but can be a bit mouthy in her play. I mostly notice that she likes to go after my fuzzy slippers or outside when I wear mittens. She is housebroken and does her business as soon as we go out.

Sadie Belle is planning to meet a prospective family all the way from Wisconsin over the holidays. Here is a rare picture of a tuckered out Sadie!
