Hi RAGOM world! Spring is here and Miss Saffie has earned a couple more Golden Retriever merit badges. Skills mastered: gently taking treats after being asked to "wait" and lounging on the outdoor furniture like she owns the place.
She is 100% Golden Girl and we are so proud of the progress she has made!

Miss Saffie has been spending lots of time with her foster family at the cabin. With everyone either working or studying at home, she's been getting extra doses of love and mastering the fine art of "Being a Golden"!
She's giving lots of kisses, taking walks (she does great on her leash!), and has dipped a paw in the river. Her sniffer is definitely being fine-tuned as she follows the resident dogs around the yard. She is showered with affection by her pack and she LOVES it!

Sapphire came to RAGOM from a commercial breeder. She whelped a litter of 12 puppies with her foster family, and now that all her pups have wonderful homes, it's Saffie's turn to be the star!
This petite princess is coming out of her shell, little by little, and will need a forever home that can be patient while she learns her surroundings. She is full of love and affection for her people, once she learns who can be trusted.
Saffie LOVES her crate, and is an avid toy collector! She finds treasures like socks, towels, and other "abandoned" items and brings them to her kennel for safe keeping.
She's a strong chewer, and loves Nylabones and antlers. She's also quite efficient at de-stuffing toys and puncturing squeakers! Her current fosters do an inventory each night to make sure she goes to sleep with SAFE things.
As a breeder, Saffie will need another dog in the home to act as her role model. Another medium to large dog who is confident and well adjusted will help her learn that everything is not scary and how to be a dog living in the house and our world.
Children should be over 10 years old - Saffie is shy and prefers older children who are less likely to surprise or scare her.
A physical fence is optional, but anyone adopting her will be required to provide a plan on how they will keep her safe in their yard.
