Profile

Greetings from Grand Forks,

Leo came to live with us on January 11th, 2009.  He was a stray, and he is approximately 6 years old. He is such a sweetheart it isn't even funny. Leo gets along with the other golden fur butts however, he has had an infection since he was neutered and has to wear a lampshade on his head until Saturday, then we will take him back to the vet for a checkup to make sure he is okay and all shots are current. I think we will see a whole different guy once the cone comes off.

Leo loves to lay on the sofa, which is a no-no in my book but for some reason foster dad had Leo on the sofa within an hour of his arrival.  Leo loves every moment of it too.  Leo isn't bossy he puts up with the other golden's rules and regulations such as who gets to be the closest to foster mom at bed time, who gets treats first, who gets to carry foster mom's gloves when she comes home from work that type of thing.  He learned quickly.  Leo doesn't bark, moan or groan, it's unbelievable.  He is mild mannered, takes food from my fingers very gently and is very polite.

At the moment with the cone on, he goes outside to do his business but gets distracted with that darned cone and decided to shovel with it or maybe just eat some snow, we have tons of that.  Leo is house trained, he hasn't had an accident yet, and he doesn't counter surf or jump on visitors.  Leo walks very nice on a leash, he even let grammy walk him.   I think he could teach the others a thing or two around here.

Hey guys,

It's me Leo, my foster mom, dad and brother are out of town and gramy is taking care of us dogs.  I've been living here for a couple of weeks now and let me tell you, it's so nice, warm and snuggly...  No outside sleeping at all.  I lived around Brainard, MN and was found as a stray.

I love to cuddle, snuggle and get itchies.  I was not feeling well for awhile, I had an infection but now I feel terrific.  I'm living with 2 other goldens Jacx who wants to play but I still don't really want to do that and Winnie, boy is she bossy, when my fosters went out of town Winnie told Jacx and I to just watch how she could work gramy.  She got us lots of treats and cookies and extra stuff.  Grammy thinks I'm the best one around here cause I'm not bossy I just like to be loved and give loves back.

I took a few pictures of myself, found foster mom's camera one picture is of my feet foster mom says they are big but hey, I'm 6 yrs old so what do you expect.  I was at the Dr. office last week and I weigh 65 pounds, just right.  Anyway one picture is of my feet and the other one is of me by th fireplace.  I didn't know how to turn it on so it might be a bit dark.

Toodles for now!

Leo :)
