5/4/07: When I brought Sandy home, I took her out in the back yard to let her explore with no other dogs around. I introduced her to my four resident dogs one at a time. She did really well with all of them. She was REALLY scared of the three steps going into the house from the garage. It took a while to get her in the house. She was real skittish in the house and moved around really quickly exploring things. Sandy kept as far away from me as possible. She slept in the crate for the night and I heard not a peep out of her. In fact, I did not hear anything out of her for several days. Then there was a very quiet squeaky bark. After a couple of days Sandy went up and down the steps with no problem. She loves to be outside with the other dogs. She just loves my boy Jack and follows him all over. She was curious with the cats, but then after a sniff, she just ignored them. If I can get her, she loves to be loved on, petted and her ears rubbed, but when I go up to her, she runs the other way to get away from me. She is a real sweetheart.
