back to Adopted Dogs

Scout came to us late last night and boy is he gorgeous.  He is a GR/Chocolate Lab Mix.  He has had a few issues with our dogs but it has been worked out.  He likes to be the center of attention.  If you are petting him and one of our resident dogs comes up to be pet he gives a bark.  Just to let them know that he was here first.  He has been wonderful with our daughter.  So wonderful, that he lets her lay with him as you can see from the pictures. 

He has never been around cats before and is more than curious about them.  Right now he thinks they are a fun toy to chase around but we are hoping that will happen less and less as we work with him.  He needs some work on walks but knows basic commands.  He loves food and is treat motivated.  He is house trained!  We will keep you updated as we get to know each other better and learn more but he is such a sweetie!

Scout has been here for a week now and proven himself to be a wonderful boy.  Below are some things that he has told us he loves.
                       I love to be around you! 
                       I love to eat!
                       I love to chase cats!  I would do best in a house with no cats.
                       I love car rides!
                       I am completely house trained and let you know when I need to go out!
                       I am crate trained!
                       I love having my belly rubbed...any petting is good with me!
                       I love walks!  I need a little walk training though.
                       I love kids!  They pet me a lot.
                       I got brushed today and found it was another way to get petted!  I loved it!
                       I got a bath and found out they weren't the worst thing...I behaved very well the entire time!

Aren't I cute after I get a bath?!
