Selena 10-072

Profile

Let me introduce you to Selena, the most adorable 14 week old GR puppy! Born 11-23-09. Selena was rescued by a good Samaritan from a pet store. She was very, very sick & was saved by RAGOM. She received emergency vet care and is coming around like a trooper. She is so happy. She is going to be a big girl. Big paws!  Lots of energy. She is very smart. She is very inquisitive and watches me & follows me everywhere. She also will entertain herself, is a cuddler & very sweet. Hard to get her to sit still for a picture, though. Loves the snow...it is so funny to watch her dive in the banks. She is being fed three times a day. When she was rescued she was only 12 lbs. She definitely needs to put on some weight. She is very skinny. We have a follow up vet appointment Thursday. We will update after the vet appontment.   If you are an approved applicant, pleases contact your placement advisor if you think Selena is a fit for your home. Or if you would like to apply to adopt Selena, you better hurry up! She is a very precious, lucky girl.

Everyday is something new. Yesterday, it was get on the couch, by herself, for the first time. Today, it's going to the back door to get outside. Who wouldn't on a beautiful day like today!  She was a little confused this morning about the snow almost gone in the yard. She is used to going potty in the snow. She loves to be outside & has a love for rocks! It is so fun to see her grow & discover!

Later, FM.

Here are some pictures of Selena, they are not very good ones but I think you have the idea on how special and sweet she is.

Selena had her follow up vet visit yesterday. She is a healthy girl. We will get the stool results today to make cure the coccidia is gone. Good news is she has gained weight & is now 17.9 lbs. She is scheduled for her spay surgery next Thursday. She arrived here last Sunday and has shown her "true" colors more & more every day! Lots of energy, loves to be outside, loves the snow & puddles, loves toys, loves to eat, loves your attention, & catches on to training very quick.  Cat & dog compatible.

  • Selena will need a forever home that commits to positive training.
  • Family needs to know she is a puppy that will grow to an adolescent. (we know what that means). Training needs to be started right away.
  • Puppy teeth are not fun.
  • She needs constant supervision if left with free roam.
  • Selena sleeps in a crate at night with no problem. She will let you know with a determined bark that she wants out in the morning! She does have spunk.

If you think you are ready for a puppy and have the stamina, please contact your placement advisor. (Approved applicants). Or, put an application in for adoption. Selena is ready to find her perfect, forever home with lots of love.
