Buddy can't believe it's already February today - where did the winter go, he wonders? We celebrated the end of January yesterday by hiking for 3 miles at Sibley State Park, through beautiful snowy forests in south central MN. Buddy was sooo good on our hike. Just kept movin' along with us, happy as could be to be outside in undiscovered territory. He didn't pull, either, which was great because there are a lot of slippery, snowy hills to go up and down on those trails. When we met strangers on the trail, he stood back at first, and then ran up to them only when invited. What a good boy. As soon as we got in the car after the hike, Bud just crashed and slept the whole way home, and then slept most of the evening on the rug while we watched movies. AND, he even slept until late this morning! We must have really exhausted that little guy!
Bud has taken to snuggling this week - in the morning when he wakes up, he jumps into bed with us, snuggling between our two heads until we are ready to wake up for good. He's actually very patient - which surprised me because I thought he was kind of antsy when he first arrived. He has settled down a great deal now, and is just so fun to have around. Buddy loves to follow us everywhere - so whoever brings him home for good should be someone that likes a furry shadow. :) He is really learning commands, too. Sit, lay down, off....working on stay but that will just take some more training by his new family. Still hasn't shown signs of being a runner, but being that he is a male and a pup, his new family should probably keep him on leash until he's a little older and well-trained. (Just like with any other pup).
Buddy loves our resident dogs - he gives the older girl kisses and minds his manners around her (she's the queen of the house), and the "younger" guy (7 years), gets lots of serious play time out of Buddy. Buddy would do well with any age dog, I'm sure - just more playful around the younger ones and calmer around the seniors.
We love Buddy, and know you will, too!! Contact RAGOM if you would like to inquire about him, please. Buddy says THANK YOU!!
