Shane arrived on Saturday. He spent some time on the road coming from Iowa, and was a great travel companion. Shane is a large, gorgeous, 3.5 year old purebred Golden Retriever. He is the sweetest, very smart, well trained, well cared for, & a beautiful dog. He will soon have the perfect family, specially picked. Shane knows sit, stay, shake & does not counter surf or go for garbage! He respects the cat & has been known to love children. He is getting along with the resident dogs after some adjusting, as he was the only dog in the household. Shane needs to get updated on his vaccinations, then he will be ready for adoption. Shane's wonderful forever family came to pick him up this morning. They are going to take great care of him and give him lots of love for the rest of his golden life. He has many wonderful years ahead of him.
Shane was with us only 2 nights, but we managed to fall for him. It was just so easy. He is such a big loveable goof. He weighed in at 90.5# on Friday and the vet said he can lose about 5#.

Shane met his forever family tonight. They are soooo lucky to be getting such a sweet young gentleman. He is going home with his forever family tomorrow. He will have a fenced in yard to run free in and some lakes to go on long walks around and swim in.
I got some new photos of him tonight to show just how handsome this guy is.
