Hello-
It has been many years since we have been in touch. My family was blessed to have adopted Shea from RAGOM in 2002. Over the last week and a half, Shea had lost his appetite and on Thursday we noted that his breathing had become laborious all the time. Friday afternoon, we brought Shea into the Rockford Road Animal Hospital where x-rays had discovered that not only did Shea have a cancerous tumor on his spleen, but it had metastasized and was on his lungs and throughout his entire insides. It was determined that nothing could be done in the form of treatment of the cancer and that there was really no time left to try and treat Shea for pain in an effort to prolong his time with us. While we lost a great family member on Friday, Shea filled us with over ten years of wonderful memories and he will not be forgotten. We have spent this time since his passing putting together pictures and making a video to keep as a memory for years to come. Thank you for allowing us an opportunity to bring Shea in our family! Please enjoy a few of our favorite pictures.
