Sherman 09-354

Profile

This is Sherman a pure breed Golden from a puppy mill. He came to me in pretty bad shape and has done beautifully adjusting to our life. He had bloody diarrhea and two ear infections, would not come in and out of doors, would not eat or drink and was so scared of any sounds.

I brought him in and got his ears and intestinal infection taken care of and he was neutered also. Sherman weighs in at 82 pounds and is two and a half years old. Sherman needs to have another dog around and no small children. He walks well on a leash but stays pretty close to your leg. He has gotten much better at this. He now eats and drinks regularly and is a very different dog than when he arrived. I have had him for about three weeks now and he learns very quickly by watching the other dogs.

Hi Everyone I just wanted you all to know that I am not alone and have two best friends that have been so good to me. Trucker and Shadow are teaching me how to be a dog and play and have fun in life. I am doing good with my foster family and really like being in a home where there is love and joy. I am not afraid of riding in the car anymore and even stuck my nose out the car window yesterday and it was fun. I got to play in the water at the lake and I wasn't quite sure how to swim but I just know it is in my blood - I just liked wading and watching Trucker the other Golden swim for the ball. I would have liked to have chased that duck I saw but my foster mom said "no":( oh well I just waited til I got home and chased Trucker around the back yard. Look at my new pictures with my friends and one even of my handsome self:)

Sherman will be at the walk/run on the 19th all day!!!!!! Come and see him. He would love all the petting and love he can get. He is doing so good. I took him for a car ride today and he jumped right in the car and is even getting closer to the window for a sniff of fresh air. He is starting to give kisses and getting in your lap for a late day football game. He will be a good foot warmer for cold winters. He also will tell you when he is hungry as he will kick the food dish around, he learned that from his resident friend "Trucker". Sherman has learned alot from the resident dogs, some good and some not so good. Haha! We are still working on "sit"...... for the most part he either stands or lays down, I don't think he ever sat much before.

Hi Sherman!
