Please help me welcome sweet Snowy to the RAGOM family. Snowy is a 9 year old pure bred female white Labrador Retriever who came to us with the English Cream Golden Retrievers. Snowy's original owners died so Snowy and her friends were surrendered to various rescue groups. When we arrived to pick up the Golden Retrievers and transport a couple of white labs to another rescue group, we learned that an "extra" lab had made the trip from far western North Dakota. Since I was doing the transport along with our intake director, I offered to foster Snowy thus she became a RAGOM dog. Her surrendering owner said she had been "the family dog" and he was very sad to have to give her up. We all shed a few tears when he said his goodbyes to her and told her "mom and dad are gone now, so these nice people will find you a new family to live with."

Snowy made the long trip to Minneapolis and enjoyed a bath as soon as she arrived in the Twin Cities. In fact she jumped into the tub for her bath!! She is a very sweet, social, happy girl. Snowy is completely housebroken, not one accident and is very comfortable living in my house. She loves to sleep on the couch and sleeps in the bed with me at night. Snowy met the three resident dogs without any issue and has met several other dogs without any problems. I do think the 8 month old Golden Retriever pup I dog sit for is a bit much for her but she is fine with her and just looks at her like "slow down kid." Snowy seems to love humans but will bark at men that she does not know. I suspect she did not have much exposure to people other than her owners and their family as she spent her entire life on a 110 acre farm. She rides fine in the car, jumps right in and is not nervous or afraid. She has no issues with resource guarding from humans or dogs. She eats well and seems very appreciative of all the attention she is receiving at my house.

Snowy does not act like she is 9 years old. She keeps up fine with my 4 year old lab, Rocco and with Raven my 2 year old lab/Golden mix. She is in much better shape than my 9.5 year old female lab Jimmie and can run circles around her. Snowy loves to chase rabbits and squirrels in the back yard and flies off the deck to run after them. Snowy does not play with toys, although today she did pick up a stuffed toy that Raven was trying to destuff. She did not seem to know what to do with it once she picked it up and just took it to a dog bed and rested next to it. She does not know what a tennis ball is used for but she'll figure all of this out as she watches my resident dogs play.

Snowy visited the vet this week. She is heartworm negative and all her senior blood work is normal. Great news for Snowy!! The only thing the vet found is that her urine is not as concentrated as normal but since Snowy shows no symptoms of illness, she just recommended that it be checked in 6 months to a year. Pretty darn good for a 9 year old dog who was a breeding dog. Snowy does need to be spayed, so her days of making puppies are behind her. We'll schedule her appointment in the next week or two.

Snowy has a few requirements in her forever family. She will need to go to a home with at least one other medium to large size dog....she loves other dogs so several dogs would be fine for her. Snowy will need a home with no children under the age of 10 years and she will need a home with a fence. These are the requirements we have for dogs who have lived as breeding dogs.

Please contact your placement adviser if you are interested in Snowy. She will make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family. I'll send in another update in a few days as I learn more about Snowy but for now I have to say she is one of the sweetest dogs I've fostered so far.

Updates

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

My sweet baby girl Snowy has hit the big time.  She has been adopted by a wonderful woman who has a very sweet male lab and an equally nice young adult son to keep her company.  Snowy will accompany her mom on visits to her patients who receive home care.  She will enjoy walks and running errands with both her new mom and her new human brother. Snowy has a huge home and a wonderful large back yard.  Snowy's mom said Leo the resident lab, wagged his tail when she brought Snowy home and he has a "new pep to his step" which surprised her.  I'm not too surprised as Snowy is a very happy, loving girl and everyone who meets her smiles and feels her love.  Her new family is over joyed with their new addition and will provide me with lots of updates.  My house is quiet without Snowy, and she's the quiet one.  We all miss her but we are all happy knowing that she finally has a family of her own and will not have to move again.  I know she is happy!!

Snowy and her buddy Raven 11-173 (my adopted RAGOM boy) enjoyed a spa day before Snowy left for her forever home.  They both had baths at Bubbly Paws as part of their Bubbly Bowl celebration.  Both did great and were good ambassadors for RAGOM's non-traditional Golden's. Neither liked the blow dryers but with their shorter coats they did fine with an extra towel or two.  Thanks to Bubbly Paws for supporting rescues!!

Snowy would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful team of people who helped her become a RAGOM dog.  Thanks to Konnie S for saying yes to Snowy, a senior lab, no Golden there, when we picked up Snowy and her 9 friends.  Thanks to Jane N who lent her backyard and bath tub facilities so Snowy and her pals could get a bath as soon as they arrived from ND.  Thanks to the legion of volunteers who gave up a Friday night on very short notice to give baths to smelly, not so social dogs.  All this happened just in the first 10 hours of Snowy becoming a RAGOM dog.  Imagine all the volunteers who have helped her over the past 5 plus months!! Snowy says thanks to everyone who has helped her and continues to help all the other dogs, she will extend the favor by helping her new brother grow and enjoy life just a little bit more.  A truly happy ending for all.

Thank you, foster mom & crew.

Hi everyone, it's me Snowy and I have great news to share with you.  A really great thing happened last weekend, can you guess what that is? If you guessed I finally met my forever family, you are right. Yup, me Sweet Snowy is finally getting her own family!! I guess foster mom was right, she kept telling me that good things come to those that wait. I get to have a mom who loves, loves, loves dogs and applied to RAGOM just so she could adopt me!! I now have a 9 year old 4 legged lab brother named Leo and a 2 legged human brother who is 20 or so. My human brother wants me to run errands with him and wants to take walks too. My forever mom might be able to take me with to visit some of her patients as she does hospice care. Leo my lab brother, is shy so he does not like to go in the car or take walks. He came from a place where there were many, many, many dogs and not very many humans so new things scare him and he's happiest at home. He wagged his tail at me and gave me a few sniffs so I think we'll be buddies in no time and who knows maybe I'll get him to play with me and I can help him to be not so afraid. Anyway, I'll be his friend and give him lots of love. I get to stay with foster mom and the crew here for a few more days so I'm getting in all the play and snuggle time I can. Foster mom already offered to dog sit for me anytime and I know she and my new mom will keep in touch and I'll get to see my buddies for play time or dog parties. Oh, foster mom wants to say a few things. Thanks for reading my story and for helping me so I could find my forever home. Your friend, Snowy.

Foster mom here, the first question I am always asked when someone hears that I foster dogs is "how can you give them up?"  Snowy is one of the dogs that has made me ask myself that question many times since I picked her up on August 19th. I knew the only way I could ever give her up was if the absolutely perfect applicant came around. Snowy met a few applicants that would have been a good fit or even in one case a great fit, but the timing was not right or that "connection" just wasn't there. That was until last Saturday. Yes, for Snowy the perfect match was out there too, it just took a while longer for them to find each other. I knew as soon as Snowy met her new mom that this was "the one". I could see they both felt the connection and I knew even more when Snowy's new mom and I talked about Leo the resident lab. Imagine my utter amazement when we realized Leo was from the same large lab rescue as a lab I had rescued 4 years ago!! What are the odds that my boy Smudge, a lab mix, and Leo came from the same place?? I knew first hand the condition of the dogs from this place and knew immediately that Snowy and Leo would be fine together. It makes me very happy to know that Snowy and I will get to help one of the dogs from this group; even more so as I lost my boy Smudge to a heart attack just 4 months after I adopted him. Some things are just meant to be. Because Leo is shy and does not enjoy car rides, I brought Snowy over to visit him. Snowy made herself at home as soon as she walked in. She and Leo did not interact much but there were a few sniffs and a few small tail wags. As I expected, no issues from either. Snowy was very happy to meet her new human brother and followed him everywhere, even before he shared a few chips with her and Leo!! We'll get to enjoy Snowy until early next week as her new mom will wait to bring Snowy home until she has a couple of days off so Snowy has an easier adjustment. Here are photos of Snowy and Leo, each in their chair....didn't take Snowy long to find the good chair!! Thanks for following Snowy's journey to her new life and thank you for supporting RAGOM.

Snowy is happy!!

Hey everyone, it's me Snowy sending you an update since foster mom has been too busy to update my page. All is great here in foster care, I love living here and have no complaints. I still love sleeping on the couch, love seat and bed. There are also a bunch of dog beds and I'll sleep on those if all the other spots are taken. I love playing with all the dogs here and understand that Jimmie (she's almost 10) does not play and does not share her toys or chews. We've worked that out and now we have no issues. I love wrestling with Rocco, Raven and Biscuit 11-373. Biscuit is only 15 months old and he plays very hard with the boys but I do not let him play quite as hard with me so we are good buddies. Foster mom is surprised to see how well I get along with Biscuit. He's no big deal cause I lived with lots of dogs and had lots of puppies so I know all about those young, high energy dogs.

Last week I attended an all volunteer meeting with foster mom at Stone Mountain.  Thank you Stone Mountain for letting RAGOM have their meeting at your place. There were 100+ people and 65+ dogs at the meeting, plus tons of food. I had a great time (foster mom forgot to take photos) and met everyone, canine and human without any issue. I loved getting treats and attention from everyone and just hung out while people ate. Foster mom rewarded me with a bite of her hot dog, yum yum, I do love hot dogs!!

Well, all for now. Biscuit wants to play and all the rest of the dogs are sleeping so I guess I'll have to play with him again.

See you later, your friend, Snowy.

Hi everyone, it's me Snowy with a quick note to my friends out there in RAGOM-land.  I've had a great Christmas at my foster home.  We got lots of treats, toys and a new fleece blanket.  I especially like the elk antlers and the fleece blanket, well, and all of the treats are great.  Thank you to everyone who gave my foster mom stuff for us dogs.  One of our friends dropped off 2 big bags of food, some yummy treats and a special food for our Christmas Eve dinner.  Wow, was that nice or what? Some other friends gave us a bunch of treats too.  Oh, and when I went to the meet and greet in Apple Valley last Sunday, we brought home a huge bag of treats, toys and stuff.  Foster mom said we had too much so she gave a bunch of it to the RAGOM dogs who are in boarding waiting for their foster family so they can start their journey for a forever home.  Foster mom tried to dress me up as and Elf....I wasn't impressed but let her put the hat on for a treat.

I also want to say a huge thank you to my very special friend who decorated my page with a beautiful token in loving memory of  Duke 11-266.  I got to meet Duke and he was very sweet and nice to me.  I am honored that you thought of me.  I'm sending you my special Snowy hugs and kisses cause I heard you hurt your arm, hope you feel better real soon.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.  Your friend, Snowy.

Thursday, December 1, 2011

Hey everyone, it's me Snowy checking in to see how all my fans and friends in RAGOM-land are doing on this first day of December.  I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.  I had a great day with friends who came over for dinner and a few "extras" in my food dish.  Yum, I love sweet potatoes and green beans!!  I also got a couple of roasted potatoes when then fell off the grill.  Foster brother Rocco got most of them and he did not wait for them to cool off so he got sick cause they were too hot to eat.  Lucky for him he was ok.....foster mom was worried about him but he's fine. I was eying up the turkey but foster mom said it was not good for dogs so we did not get any.

We have a new foster brother at our house, Biscuit 11-373 is staying with us so foster mom can find him a forever home.  Boy, is that Biscuit a wild guy!!  He's only 13 months old and plays all the time.  I like him even though he is a high energy guy.  He likes to play with me and we run and wrestle and play tug with toys.  I tell him when I've had enough or if he gets too rough and he listens to me.  He is very handsome and sweet and goofy and is a nice boy.  I hope he finds his forever home soon as he sleeps in bed with all of us and that cuts into my snuggle space with foster mom.  I guess it's ok as he needs some extra attention and care.  Foster mom says we all have to help him so he can find his family.  Since I lived with many dogs at my original house I'm fine with him....I say the more the merrier!!

Foster mom is surprised I am still in foster care as she says I am the easiest, sweetest foster she has had.  She says there must be a very, very special family out there who is looking for me but so far we've not found them.  She is very happy to have me here and I have to say I am very happy to be here too.  I love all dogs and all humans, and love to go for rides in the car.  Raven 11-173 is my best friend here....we are both RAGOM dogs and have bonded.  I like him a lot as he is very good to me and we often sleep next to each other.  I love Rocco too as he too is sweet and nice to me.  Jimmie and I get along ok too....she does not try to boss me around any longer so we are fine.  I think she likes me but she would never admit that....I do like her!!  Yes, there are 5 dogs at my foster home now!!

Well time to go and check in on the boys and play some in the back yard.  I love running around in the snow and can stay outside for hours....the cold does not bother me at all, but I have to say I am very happy to be living inside this winter.  Hope you all stay warm and enjoy playing in the snow too!!

Bye for now, your friend Snowy.

Snowy continues to do very well in foster care.  She is just so sweet and very easy to care for.  She loves all dogs and seems to have the attitude of the more the merrier.  We are currently fostering a 13 month old PB Golden boy who is a wild boy but he is not a problem for Snowy.  She will run and wrestle with him but will also tell him when enough is enough.  Snowy loves the snow and is happy to be outside playing with all the other dogs at my house.  The cold does not seem to bother her as she is content to stay out side as long as I am out with her.  She loved helping me with lawn work and was not afraid of the loud leaf blower or other fall clean up tools.  Snowy still loves to sleep in bed with me but if the bed is too crowded she will sleep on the couch and then come up to wake me when it is time to get up.  She loves to snuggle in the bed and on the couch.  Honestly this girl has not given me one bit of trouble or concern.  She is by far the easiest foster I've had and is a complete joy to be around.  Here is a photo of her resting on her new blanket...she loves the soft fleece blankets!!

Snowy does need a home with at least one other dog, no children under the age of 12 and a fenced yard.  Please contact your placement adviser if Snowy seems like a good fit for your family.

Monday, October 31, 2011

Hi everyone, it's me Snowy checking in from my foster home.  Life here is great and I am very happy.  I am completely recovered from my spay surgery and am happy to have my puppy making days behind me.  I've been keeping busy playing with Rocco, Raven and Jimmie.  I love this cooler weather and could spend hours running around the back yard playing chase and running in the leaves.  I don't play with balls and toys outside but I do love to run with Rocco and Raven when they get the zoomies outside and can keep up with them even when they are running full speed.  Jimmie doesn't run around much, her hips bother her some so she watches us and sometimes runs a lap or two.  Jimmie and I are the same age but I act at least half her age....after all, age is just a number right??

I've also been very busy with my RAGOM duties.  I attended two events with my foster mom over the last two weeks and had a fun time at both.  I get along great with all the people I meet and with almost all dogs.  I don't like the young dogs who jump in my face and make sure to tell them that I do not appreciate them getting in my face.  Other than that, I like all dogs big or small.  I love snuggling with people and I've included a photo of me sitting on the lap of one of the other fosters when we were at Chuck and Don's. Thanks Kris N for letting me sit in your lap!!  This past weekend we attended a Halloween party at Adogo.  I dressed up as a pumpkin cause foster mom calls me her sweet pumpkin all the time.  I was a bit confused as to what we were doing hanging out in a parking lot with a bunch of people and dogs that did not look like people or dogs, you humans do some strange stuff you know.  Foster mom thought I might be a bit afraid of the costumes but nope, I did just fine....just a little nervous.  She always knows when I am nervous as I like to jump up when I need attention.  I can jump with all 4 feet off the ground and jump at least 3 or 4 feet in the air.  No one can believe I am 9 years old when they see me do this.   I was in the costume contest and while I did not win for best costume I did win a gift basket just for being there!! Boy was that great, I got three boxes of dog biscuits, a toy that treats come out of when you chew on it and a fleece blanket just for me!!  Oh, and three books for foster mom to read.  I'm glad I won a prize cause the resident dogs get a little put out when I get to go places and they don't so this time I made them happy by bringing home lots of treats to share.

Well, I have to go help foster mom in the back yard and then take a nap before dinner.  She says it will be busy at our house tonight because it is Halloween and the kids will be trick or treating....not sure what that is all about but I'm on board as long as there are treats for me!!

See you all later, Happy Halloween, your friend Snowy.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

Hi everyone, it's me Snowy checking in with my fans in Ragomland.  I'm doing great in my foster home and have been a busy girl.  Last week foster mom took me for a ride to a scary place so I could get fixed....didn't know I was broken....ok, I know that's an old joke!!  Anyway, I had my spay surgery last week and everything went just fine.  I was sore and tired when I got home and did not want to eat or drink but foster mom took good care of me like she always does.  She made me a nice soft spot on the couch to recover on and in a few hours she made me a special meal so I could take my medicine so I would not be in pain.  She told me I would feel better in a day or two and guess what, she was right.  I felt almost 100% normal the next day and each day I felt a little bit better.  Now I feel great, am completely recovered but foster mom is still not letting me run and jump around...says I need to be on exercise restrictions for at least another 3 or 4 days.  Boy, I can't wait to run around the yard and chase rabbits and squirrels.  Speaking of rabbits, guess what my foster brother Raven did on Sunday morning?  He caught a rabbit in the back yard and tried to eat it.  I was busy eating apples so I didn't try to get it but heard foster mom tell him to "drop it" several times...he finally listened to her and she quickly took us all inside so she could pick up the dead rabbit.  Then we all had to have some liquid stuff put on us as she said she did not want fleas in the house....guess those rabbits like to carry fleas....ish, why would they do that!!  Anyway, that was pretty exciting....don't think foster mom thought it was too cool though as she said yuck a bunch of times and told Raven not to do that again.

I've been going for a lot of rides with foster mom and Raven.  We both love to run errands with her and love to ride in the car.  I jump right in and love to look around watching the world go by as we drive.  I do not try to get out when foster mom leaves me in the car while she runs into the store or what ever it is that she is doing.  I'm just happy to see new sights and do new things.  I love to take a nap after my car ride, the couch is still my favorite spot other than the bed.  I love my foster brothers Rocco and Raven.  They remind me of my kids and are very nice to me.  Jimmie reminds me of my sisters and we get along fine 99% of the time.  Once in a while Jimmie growls at me and I have to stand up for myself and growl back.  Foster mom always jumps in and tells us to "knock it off" and we do.  Yup, we behave just like sisters!!

Well, I hope someone out there is looking for a nice older lab....I know I'm not a Golden Retriever but I do have a "Golden" personality and I am a retriever.  Foster mom says one of the really good things about me is that I hardly shed at all and do not need much grooming.  Some labs shed a ton, but I don't and my coat is nice and soft, just short hair.  So if you are looking for a sweet gal to join your pack, please contact placement and let them know you want to meet me.

Bye for now, your friend Snowy.

Monday, September 19, 2011

Hey everyone, it's me Snowy and I'm writing my own update today.  Life in foster care is great!!  I am having so much fun with my foster family.  First I want to thank the very generous anonymous person who donated to Goldzilla on my behalf.  Thank you for the nice decoration on my blog page and for helping all the dogs so they can live the Golden life!!  You are a very special person and my hero!!

I had a wonderful time at Goldzilla.  Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make it all happen.  Thanks also to everyone who came out to meet me and gave me pets and treats.  It was a really nice day and I had lots of fun.  Foster mom said I behaved very well meeting tons of dogs and new people.  I jumped up on foster mom a lot as I was a bit nervous and wanted her reassurance that all was ok but she took it all in stride and even bought me a hot dog for lunch....yum was that good.  I ate the bun first and saved the hot dog for last.  I also got a few cheese curds and tons of treats.  Foster mom thought I might have a tummy ache later but I was fine, just really tired.  I slept most of the next day (foster mom was a little worried about me) but now today I'm just fine and back to my normal self.  No one could believe that I am 9 years old, especially when they saw me jump up with all four feet off the ground....I can jump 3 or 4 feet into the air...foster mom says I must have springs in my legs and that my hips must be in really good shape.  I say, you're as young as you feel and I feel about 5 years old!!

While I might not be a Golden Retriever, I do have a Golden personality and heart.  I'm a big snuggle bunny and kind of velcro....I do love my people and love other dogs.  One dog tried to get snarky with me at Goldzilla and I just gave him the snarky business right back.  I'm not a push over and don't like other dogs to boss me around so I just let him know.  I might be older but I can still hold my ground with those young ones!!  Foster mom says I'm a very easy dog to care for, and am ready for my forever home.  Oh, I still need to have my spay surgery....I guess that is scheduled for next week.  I am available to meet approved applicants so let your placement adviser know if you want to meet me.  Foster mom says I can stay here as long I need to and she'd keep me in a heartbeat if she did not already have 3 resident dogs.  I'd really like to live with at least one other dog (more is better in my book).  I did fine with the little kids I met at Goldzilla but she thinks I'd be best with kids over 8 or 10 years of age.  I'd love a fenced yard as I love to run and chase rabbits and squirrels, so a fence would be nice.

All for now, I have to go investigate what Rocco is looking at in the back yard....looks like a squirrel is trying to eat our apples again....time to chase him out of the yard.  Your friend Snowy.

Monday, September 12, 2011

Hi Snowy fans,

Snowy continues to be an absolute sweetheart to foster and is such a nice girl.  She has now discovered the joys of chewing on nylabones and beef bones.  She has no issues with resource guarding and will let me take them away from her if needed and is fine to chew on them right next to the other dogs....even next to crabby girl Jimmie. She has also found joy in destuffing toys.....thanks to Raven for showing her this. She destuffs the toys but does not eat the stuffing or parts that she removes. Snowy has also discovered playing with other dogs and will now initiate wrestling with Rocco or Raven.  She absolutely loves the 8 month old Golden that I dog sit for one day a week and loves to play with her.  It's so fun to see a 9 year old dog playing with an 8 month old pup!!  Rocco has also taught Snowy how to pick apples off my apple trees and that the apples on the ground are good eating but watch for bees and wasps.

Snowy attended the RAGOM Golden Flash Mob walk on Saturday and met more dogs and people in one place then she had ever seen in her entire life.  She did just fine and was very happy to see two of her friends, Bentley and Carrara at the walk. We only walked part of the route as Snowy decided she did not want to do the entire route....she really wanted to go swimming in the lake but I did not have a long leash with so could only let her wade in the water.

Snowy is doing better with meeting men and did not bark at anyone at the walk.  She has let one of my friends feed her and will now sit on the couch with him when he stops by to visit the dogs.  She is a very sweet, easy going dog.  She seems very smart and listens very well.  Snowy does come when called and is still the first one in bed at night.  All of the dogs have decided that my temperpedic mattress is very comfortable and I often find myself having to move to the spare bedroom in  order to have enough space to sleep.  Snowy always follows me to the spare bedroom but does not sleep with me when I sleep there.....she just checks in on me to see where I am and then goes back to the comfort of the master bedroom.    I guess the futon mattress is not up to her standards for comfort.  Lucky for me, Raven loves the futon mattress and always ends up sleeping with me.

Snowy will attend Goldzilla and will be with me at the Foster Showcase for the day so stop out and meet this sweet girl....she'll be the white lab in the midst of Golden's.  Hope to see you all at Goldzilla.

Thanks for following Snowy's journey.
Foster mom, Jimmie, Rocco and Raven 11-173.

Hi everyone, it's me Snowy and I am sending in my own update today.  My AKC registered name is Snow Angel but my friends and family call me Snowy.  Foster mom calls me Sweet Snowy, or Silly Snowy because she says I'm both sweet and silly.  I've been living with foster mom and the crew here for 10 days now and I think I have the routine down.  It's really a good life here as I have three dog friends to hang out with, a nice big backyard to run in and a good foster mom who feeds me twice a day.  I also get treats for going outside to do my business and for doing things like sitting and coming when asked.  I love, love., love to sleep on the couch and in bed at night.  All foster mom has to say is "time for bed" and I'm the first one in bed....got to get the good spot as all the dogs here like to sleep in the bed.  I sleep all night without a peep and hardly move at all....don't want the other dogs to take my spot on the bed!!  I am completely housebroken and will whine a bit when I need to go out or run to the door and back if you don't hear me.  I love to run out the back door and fly off the deck to chase what ever is in the back yard.  Foster mom is very surprised to see how fast and agile I am.  I can beat Rocco off the deck and into the yard and he's only 4 years old!!  I don't play with toys and really don't play with the other dogs, although Raven and I did a little wresting and paw battling yesterday morning.  That was fun and I like Raven.  Rocco likes to give me kisses and I'm getting used to that.  Jimmie (the crabby female) still tries to boss me around like she does the boys but I stand up for myself and have told her to knock it off.  I just want Jimmie to know that she's not the boss of me!!  So far, all is good.

I have free run of the house 24/7.  The first few days I hung out in an x-pen in the dinning room, but now that I am completely updated on vaccines and have shown myself to be a good girl I don't need to stay in there any more.  I eat fine and foster mom can pet me when I'm eating....no problem.  The other dogs eat faster than me but they don't bother me when they walk by me when I'm eating.  I take treats nicely and will sit for them.  I also know how to give my paw for a treat.

Foster mom says I am scheduled to have my spay surgery on the 7th of September and will be ready to go to Goldzilla on the 17th.  I'm not sure what any of that means but she tells me my days of making puppies are over and that Goldzilla will be a ton of fun with more dogs that I've ever seen.....can't wait for that cause I really like other dogs.  Today I met a Wheaten Terrier, he was nice and we got along just fine....even if he did not look like a Lab!!

For my forever home I would like to live with at least one other dog or more.  I also would like a fenced yard and no children under the age of 10.  I've not lived with children so I'm not sure what to make of all their noise and energy, plus I get excited and might knock over a little kid.  I do like children, I've met the next door neighbor kids ages 1 - 7 and did fine with them.  I also met their dog, and I'm fine with him, he is a Golden/Alaskan mix, so he's a big boy but really nice.  Foster mom says I am the easiest foster she's had so far. She says I am a move in ready kind of dog.  I'd really like someone who wants a snuggle partner and someone who will let me sleep on the furniture.  Please contact your placement adviser if you are interested in meeting me.  Don't forget to come and see me at Goldzilla on the 17th.  I'll be the white lab in a sea of Golden's.

Your friend, Snowy.
