Sophie 09-040

Profile

Sophie has made the short trip to Apple Valley, MN without any problems. She has met all the dogs, Stevee Rae (resident blind Golden) is a little worried that this pup will hurt her but I bet by later today Stevee will be playing with her too.

Sophee Bear (resident Golden) and Mistee Bubbles (resident Newf) are already playing with her, so it will only be a few hours and all will be playing nicely. Sophie has no special needs, she is up to date on shots and is ready to find her forever home. She will be going to the next petco event too! Si get this beauty while she lasts.

Sophie is back with RAGOM through no fault of her own. She was returned from a caring family that fell on hard times which required them to move out of state for employment.

Sophie is a 5 month old female Golden. She is a very friendly dog towards people and other dogs. Since being in foster care I don’t think I have been out of her sight as she likes to follow me everywhere. She is up to date on her vaccinations and ready for adoption.

Due to Sophie’s friendly nature she should go to a home with a fence as she wants to greet everyone she sees. Also, I feel she should go to a home without young children as loud noises will scare her. Finally, Sophie is not fully house broken. She is getting the idea that outside is the place to do her business, but currently will have an occasional accident.

Sophie is a great dog, but any applicant that is considering Sophie must remember she is a 5 month old puppy that will need continued training.

We brought Sophie to the vet tonight because she had the worst case of Diarrhea I have seen in a long time. We were out going potty every half hour from 9:30 pm until 5 this morning, so it was a long night. Today she was home with foster dad Rick and he said she did better – only had 4 bouts all day. So we went to the vet and he thinks it is probably the stress of moving from one place to another.

He gave her a shot to help her tummy, but he said we were doing a great job of keeping her hydrated and said to go ahead and feed her a tiny bit of very good food. So she got about a ¼ of a cup of food when we got home and I will do another bit around 8 tonight.

Other than that – she got another dose of de-wormer, micro chipped, and her first set of shots. She weighed in at 10 pounds!

Sophie loves to be held and hates her crate! But while she is here we will continue to work on that.

Sophie will be meeting a family tomorrow night to see if they could be her forever home. Wish Sophie luck.
