02/06/07: Oh my gosh, what a doll! We fell in love with little Caruso in minutes. Caruso is a 4-month old blonde male Golden mix (believed to be mixed with white Shepherd). He has an extremely gentle temperament. Met my three dogs plus foster dog (Max 07-040) and stood quietly so everyone could do the sniff and greet. He follows me everywhere, upstairs, downstairs, is right now lying by the chair as I type. He loves cuddling next to you on the couch while you watch tv and will jump in bed with you too if you want. Caruso is a very mild mannered puppy. It's been too cold to go for walks or do much other than open the backdoor to let the dogs out and open the door again to let them back in. He is housetrained and will go to the door and scratch it to let you know he needs to go outside. We were doing really well until foster mom tried to entice him to eat by adding a little hamburger, which didn't settle in his stomach real well and his insides turned a little too liquid. We now have him on I/D from the vet, a bland diet for upset tummies, and will be adding kibble slowly to his food throughout the week. One of the really fun things is that he and Max (our senior foster dog) play. They bounce around with each other and it is so cute. He's a lovebug and a lucky family will be very happy to adopt him. My husband met him and first said, can't we keep this one? and when I said, no, proceeded to say, "somebody is going to get a really nice dog."
