It is my pleasure to introduce you to a very handsome six year old named Stanley!  He has been here a little more than a week now and he could not be more enjoyable to have around.  He is tall and slender, tipping the scale at about 70 pounds, and full of energy.  He loves people, tennis balls, car rides, other dogs, more tennis balls, sitting in cars, food, playing outside, playing inside, running, and did I mention his love for tennis balls?

Stanley’s first week here went very well.  Well, other than the night he fell out of bed at four in the morning.  I’m not sure who was more startled, him or me.  But he climbed up into bed again and has had no such issue since.  Stanley has been very well behaved since he arrived.  He never barks.  He has no resource guarding issues.  He is always happy and his tail is always wagging.  He has a cute smile.  And he inhales his food (when he is not chasing a tennis ball).

Much of the time in the house has been spent tossing the tennis ball for him to chase down the hall or the stairs.  Outside, he also likes to chase the ball.  We’ve also been on a few walks with my resident girl Carlie and he walks quite nicely with us.  Car rides are another joy of his.  He loves the car so much that whenever he finds the car door is open he climbs in and sprawls out on the backseat, whether it is covered with groceries or not.  It usually takes the promise of a tasty treat to get him to come out.

That is a brief introduction to this beautiful redhead named Stanley.  More to come!

Stanley has decided to take his tennis balls and beautiful smile and move them south to Iowa.  He was adopted by the B family yesterday who promise to give him all the love (and tennis ball tosses) he deserves!  Stanley is an absolutely wonderful boy.  His tail is always wagging.  He is incredibly handsome.  And Carlie and I will miss him very much!
