Hey Stanley Max-a-million fans! I hope you had a great week and enjoyed the nice weather before the cold rolled in. I sure did. This was my last week in my foster home so I made the most of it. My little girlfriend Macie had a few sleepovers so we could play and cuddle. Boy is she a sweetie! Check this out...
I started out my day by getting a nice warm sudsy bath and blow dry (yes, it is manly to be pampered once in a while). Can I just say that I love getting my face wrapped in a towel and dried while being told how much I am loved --- I gave FM many kisses in return. Then it was playtime with all the girls.
As soon as I thought the day could not get any better, my new family showed up to take me home! They hung out for a while so I could play with my new sister Lady get some of my crazy excitement out and Lady got to play with my foster-sisters too. Mom and FM went over paperwork while Dad played referee between me and Lady so we would not get too rowdy just yet. I'm bet Lady thinks I've been living in some big party house all this time. Well, now it will just be me and her and our mom and dad, Megan and Mike. Check us out with our first family photo. I sure hope mom and dad are ready for a really big lap dog -- don't tell them, but I'm not full grown yet. Ha!
I am sad to leave my foster home and know FM and my foster-sisters will miss me, but I am on to new adventures. It has been a challenging 9 1/2 weeks that included two surgeries and lots of medical stuff along the way. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Dr. R for performing my surgeries and to all of the other great doctors and staff and Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital for taking excellent care of me every week to help get me back to 100% function in my leg. I still have some rehab to do over the next few weeks to build up my leg, but I'm thinking it is all good from here on out!
And to my special lunchtime buddy Amy L, thank you for coming over all the time to spend time with me and give me a break from the crate. I am forever grateful for your kindness.
One last heartfelt thank you to all of the people that sponsored me and donated tokens to help with my medical bills. Your generousity just warmed my heart as well as my fostermom's.
To my foster-sisters, you ROCK! Thanks for sharing everything you have with me and for being patient with my puppy behaviors and biting! I have learned a lot from you and promise to be a good boy in my new family. I'm sure I'll figure out a way to see you again since we are not too far away. And when I do, be prepared, because then I will be ready to run! I am so looking forward to that!
Thanks for reading about me these last 2 months! Now go read up on all of the other wonderful dogs on this site. Maybe one of them is just the right one to add to your family...I'm just saying....
Love,
Stanley Max-a-Million
