Stella (Greta 12-053)

Profile

Welcome to RAGOM, Greta, an “Honorary Golden”. She appears to be a cocker spaniel mix and is light golden in color. Greta was formerly living in a hoarding situation in northern Minnesota. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs 23 lbs. She is up to date on vaccinations, was spayed last week and had some dental work done. Thank you to Inver Grove Animal Hospital for the dental work! She also has bilateral ear infections which will hopefully be cleared up soon. Sweet Greta is taking it all in stride.

Greta quickly learned how to go into her kennel. She is now house-trained. She is already an expert cuddler and will sit for treats. We are working on socialization and building her confidence. She is a work in progress.

At this time she is looking for a quiet home, without small children. She may prefer being an only dog. Who could blame her, after sharing her life in cramped quarters with so many dogs, some peace and one on one time with her humans are well deserved.

Greta has big news! She has found her furrever family and she has a new name! Her name is now
Stella. Congratulations to the “L” family for adopting this special little girl!

We miss her a lot, but know she has found the perfect family, where she will only have to share her
mom with the cat, (instead of her 3 foster siblings or the 106 other dogs from where she originally came
from). She is loving all the attention and doing well.

Thank you to Devon for finding this sweet “golden-mix” girl and to RAGOM for taking her in. She is now
living the “golden” life she deserves!

FM, Snowie, Sammie and Emilie.

A new photo of Greta...

Hi, it’s me, Greta.  I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I have been since coming to RAGOM and foster care.  FM says my tail is always wagging!  I follow her wherever she goes, and then when she stops I climb on her lap or find a soft blanket to rest on at her feet.

Guess what?  Last week I learned how to play!  My foster sister Emilie has been trying to get me to play for a long time, I have been watching Emilie and Snowie play and I finally decided it was time to join in.  I have lots of fun.  I enjoy spending time in the backyard looking for small critters.  I haven’t gotten any yet, but I enjoy sniffing all the scents.  I still like to go in my crate and go in there when FM is not home, otherwise I have free run of the house even at night.  My fur is soft, I have the golden nudge, and the golden paw.  I am ready to find my furrever home.

If you would like to meet me, please contact your placement advisor.

Greta is doing well with the resident dogs and watches them for cues. She has decided that she may like to live with another dog, but she would like to meet your dog first. She is learning to play with the resident dogs. Greta loves living in a house and can be found on the softest bed or pile of blankets she can find. Greta will be greeting her fans at Chuck and Don’s – Highland Park, Saturday March 17th.
