Stevie is a 3-month-old, light golden, male, purebred Golden Retriever puppy. He is very well socialized, has had no potty accidents in the house (goes to the door or barks to be let out), and is learning how to be a GReat dog very quickly.
He loves to play with toys, go on walks, chew on toys, fetches well, comes to his name (usually), knows "sit," is working on "stay," rides well in the car, and is quickly learning appropriate house manners.
Stevie loves all people and dogs that he has met so far. He has not met any cats yet. Stevie loves to learn new things and approaches new things (walks, snow, tall grass, other dogs at the vet, etc.) with excitement, confidence, and curiosity.
He has a perfect bill of health from his vet checkup and is waiting for neuter surgery before he can be adopted.
Stevie is working on crate training and is very vocal about not liking being left in the crate. This is getting better, but at this time, I feel he needs a home where barking in the crate will not be a problem for neighbors.
Stevie has loved all kids he has come in contact with; however, he is still very rough in his play. His puppy behavior is very energetic and enthusiastic and includes jumping on new people and using his very sharp teeth to investigate them. So he will need a home with children aged 8 or older and a family that is very knowledgeable about training kids and puppies together!
He will thrive in a home where he will have the opportunity for obedience training, be a part of family activities, possible doggie daycare, and can live either with or without another dog. A physical fence is preferred.
