Sunni arrived here at our home this afternoon and she has definitely claimed the sweetest foster ever title! Cinder, the resident dog and drama queen, was won over by Sunni's charms and also her diligent attention to kissing Cinder all the time. Apparently that's the way that you can appease Her Majesty here. Sunni is a super, super dog. She is crate trained. She is housetrained as far as we know - she has gone to the door and does her business outside. Sunni knows sit and down and responds to her name. Sunni likes men and women and met some kids today on our walk and was falling all over herself to say hello, but sat very calmly for pets. She walks beautifully on a leash and we were walking loose-leashed with her the whole time! We watched a youth baseball game and she was very excited about the balls flying all over the place.
Sunni will let you look at her paws, her ears, her mouth. You can take things away from her and she wags her tail the whole time you talk to her.
We don't know much about Sunni's story. Her time was up at an Ohio shelter and RAGOM said we could take her - a very lucky family should be thankful! Sunni MIGHT be a golden mix, but we are 99.99% sure that she is a yellow lab, so she is our RAGOM Honorary Golden! Sunni has a genuine heart of gold, and really, that's what counts the most. At some point, she must have been a house dog. She is confident, friendly, and very attentive. She is not an "explore around, get into things" kind of dog, she prefers to keep close to Foster Dad or me. She also is snoozing on the bed in the office as I type and hopped up there without any encouragement from us.
Sunni will be vetted on Thursday and I will be sure to update then! If everything is good to go, she will be at Petco this Saturday from 11-3!

Sunni and Cinder sharing a joke about foster dad
"Honest, it was Cinder who was laughing at you! She looks guilty!"
A very sunny Sunni, happy to be in a home
