11/3/05: Sunny arrived safely Saturday and came into a house for the first time in her young life. Needless to say, she loves life in the house where she can snuggle up to people and jump in a bed to cuddle with a child. Even though she had never been in a house before, she knows to go to the bathroom outside and has not had an accident. She had been an outside dog who has not had much socialization with people; therefore she is somewhat submissive and timid. This has been improving since she arrived. She is very sweet and prefers the company of the family than even to play with the resident Golden. She has rapidly become attached to members of the family, will look for them in parts of the house and will even whimper until she finds them. She had to learn to go up stairs. It took many treats to get her to go up. She now sprints up and down as if it is a new trick. She gets along with everyone in the family, both kids and adults.
Sunny is a 15 month AKC registered Golden Retriever who was turned over to RAGOM because of a separation in her family situation. She is very petite and could gain some weight. She is going to the vet tomorrow to be checked and will need to be spayed. She had a litter of pups in August.
