Sunny 06-057

Profile

2/26/06: Sunny arrived this weekend. He turned eight years old yesterday, February 25 ? Happy Birthday Sunny!

Sunny is a big boy weighing in at 76 pounds and is very tall ? he can run his nose easily along my kitchen counter. Thank goodness he is not a counter surfer. He is such a wonderful guy. He steers clear of my two when they are playing. He loves pets and his tail never seems to stop moving when he gets pets ? which could pose a bit of a problem as it is the perfect height for a coffee table! He is a pretty mellow boy who enjoys the simple life of a Golden senior.

I have been told his favorite toys are tied ropes and squeaky toys, but he hasn?t been playing too much lately. I think he is still adjusting to being in a new home. He does have some hip problems but he is one gluclosomine pill daily and that seems to help. Sunny is used to being on a tie out for his potty breaks and he is getting used to having free run in my back yard. When walking he does pull a lot, even with the Gentle Leader on. One thing about Sunny, he enjoys car rides but he has to be bribed to get into the car! Once in he is fine, but getting in is another story! He does have a bit of a stubborn streak in him!

If you are looking for a senior with a bit of spunk and are an approved app, let your Placement advisor know. I don?t think Sunny will be in foster care long!

Sunny was adopted by the G family. His new mom and dad are retired and he will have them all to himself each day! Sunny will get to go on walks with his new mom and dad each day and snuggle with them at night. And in the summers they said they would take him to the neighborhood lake for swim time. Sunny was so content while visiting, he feel asleep on his dad’s feet! Way to go Sunny!
