Meet Miss Sunshine! Sunny is a spayed, UTD, blonde female. She was surrendered by a family that discovered their toddler was allergic to her. She has a "summer haircut" because the family was hoping it would help with the allergies, unfortunately it did not. They have had her since she was just a pup so were very sad to see her go. This is what we know so far about her.
Pros: house trained, crate trained, dog and people friendly, knows sit and down, walks well with a gentle leader, loves everybody, does not counter surf, not destructive, trained to an invisible fence, no aggression, and does not bark!!. Her owner has said she has only heard her bark about a handful of times since they have had her. They also reported that she has submissive peeing but I have not seen that at all. She met my dogs without any incidence. She has not in gaged in any play with them so not sure if she knows how. She pretty much just ignores them. She does like balls though and carries them around in her mouth and it is tough getting it away from her but if you can and throw it she will chase it. Also reported by her owners that she is afraid of loud noises but I walked her on July 4th with fire works going off in our neighborhood and she did not react. She has seen the vet and is micro chipped and healthy with the exception of a spot on her front paw that looks like she licks, but has left it alone since she has been in her foster home. Her coat is also dry and course and it could be from her recent hair cut. She was professionally groomed and it feels better now. The groomer said she did very well. I think once her fur grows back she will be even more pretty then she is now. Some people have mistaken her for a yellow lab because of her haircut. She appeared to be somewhat anxious when we first got her but seems to be settling in. She does not seem to mind the warm weather as she likes to just go out and lay on my deck. I have her on a tie out but I don't think she would go anywhere as she comes right away when called.
Cons: UMMMMM Can't think of any.
I would have to say this girl is kid tested and mother approved. I am thinking she will not last long so let placement know if you would like to meet her.
