Profile

Tasha came to RAGOM from a commercial breeding facility. She is cautious in new situations but in time becomes comfortable and playful. Potty training is a work in progress right now as Tasha learns to signal her need to go out. Tasha likes rearranging clothes that are laid out and likes shoelaces too. Tasha requires a confident dog to help her feel comfortable and because of her background, she requires a physical fence for safety.  Tasha can be unsure of noisy activity, so children must be age 10+.

Tasha went to her new home on Saturday. We had stopped by the vet's office to get her heartworm preventative and had her step on the scale. She is a petite lil' gal, weighing in at only 47 lbs. these days. Tasha fell into the new routine quickly and is pretty calm for her age.

Tasha is such a happy little house dog. When she is out of her home environment, however, her shyness does come out. She really looks to her new dog pal to show her the way and they are becoming fast friends.

Some chew bones were introduced and surprisingly, by the standards of the resident dog, sharing of toys is suddenly OK with him. You can often find the two dogs laying close together, chomping away, happy as can be.

Tasha really likes her new dad and now has a Golden brother a few years older to be her mentor. All reports are good. Sounds like they are keeping her name but adding a middle name. So, Tasha-Jean, have a wonderful life!

Hi, Tasha fans! It's past time for an update. Tasha celebrated her 2nd birthday in foster care on March 11th. She was spayed on the 18th of March and was pretty groggy and quiet for about the first 24 hours.

Tasha continues to be a snuggly little gal and is always happy. For her age, she is pretty calm in the house and goes with the flow. She has her bursts from time to time and stretches her legs in the fenced yard at high speed.

Potty training continues to be a work in progress. When we are gone, Tasha spends her time in her crate, as she is not yet trustworthy with free run of the house. She has picked up on the command "Kennel up". Her reward is a peanut butter Kong to ease the transition to the workday.

Due to an out of town work commitment, Tasha will be staying at another foster home for a week. This will give us some insight into her ability to adapt to a new home. She has already met the resident dog and checked out her staycation home. Next up, a report from her temp foster.

Tasha moved to her home away from home during the past week. We had a big snowstorm in April and she was a bit confused as to what was going on, but adapted well.

Tasha won over the resident dog very quickly, who serves as her new role model and pal. She was on her paws for the longest time the first night, but then was content, as this also seems to be a nice place to hang her leash. We enjoyed getting to know her.

Tasha will be transferring to a new foster home soon and we will miss her very much, but she has shown a good level of adaptability. Watch for her next update from her new foster home.

Welcome to the RAGOM family Tasha. This beautiful 2-year-old golden girl should have been named Snuggles. She loves to snuggle and enjoys being pet whenever she can.

She was born and raised in a breeding facility so she approaches most situations with caution, but once she is comfortable in her environment, Tasha loves to play and have fun with all family members. She plays with her foster brother and sister wonderfully. She loves to romp in the snow but then comes back in and wants Foster Mom to sit and pet her.

We are working on potty training. She hasn’t figured out when to let us know she has to go. We are one step closer though, as she does go to the door to go out, so it shouldn’t be too long now until she figures it out.

Tasha does like to help me when I am getting dressed in the morning by trying to steal my clothes that I have laid out on the bed. She also loves laces on tennis shoes.

Tasha does need a confident dog to make her feel comfortable. She has her spay appointment this week and then she will be ready to make someone a wonderful fur baby.

If you are interested in a dog that will snuggle with you, you may have found your new family member.
