Blossom is doing great! Her heart murmur was not detected at her last vet appointment! She continues to gain weight and is growing bigger every day. She is now 21 pounds of pure love.
Blossom loves people and all dogs. She is full of energy but also likes to snuggle up for a little TV time in the evening.
Now that she is healthy we got the go ahead to get her spayed. She had that done on Monday and is recovering. The trick will be to keep her calm and not let her jump around.
I am happy to say she will get some great help while she is recovering. Her new family will love and care for her.
Blossom has been adopted by a wonderful family! Congratulations to the R. family on your new little addition.

Please welcome Blossom into the RAGOM family. She is an 8½-week-old female Golden Retriever, very light in color, and weighs 6 pounds (she is a small girl for her age). She is fostered in Frazee, Minnesota.
Blossom comes to us from a small commercial breeder. She was surrendered to RAGOM because she has a heart murmur (grade 3). She will see a cardiologist the first week of April. At that time I will have a better idea of what she will need medically.
Blossom also has a few types of worms. She is being treated for those and will be rechecked in three weeks to make sure we have it under control. This could be one of the reasons she is so small. She was not eating very well before she came into RAGOM'S care. She is eating great now but does prefer her food softened.
Blossom is a very playful and loving puppy. She loves her people and all the dogs in our home.
Blossom sleeps in a kennel at night and is keeping it clean and dry. She goes to bed at 9:30 pm. She will bark at about 6:00 am, I let her out to take care of her business, and then she goes back in her crate and sleeps until around 8 am.
When she is up and playing she does a good job telling me she wants to go outside. I do need to pay attention to her signals and let her out; she is not old enough to hold it. She will use a potty pad if I don't respond to her quickly. Potty training is a work in progress but she is doing great!
Until we know more about Blossom’s heart condition, she will be unavailable for adoption. Please watch for updates as we learn about her medical outlook.
