Puddin AKA Taz is doing great – we had a scare a few days ago that all 10 pups may have fleas and lice, we had no fleas, but we did have biting lice – GROSS. The good news is Lice does not go from dogs, to cats to humans, they are species specific. All the dogs in the house got treated with Frontline or Revolution. The itching has almost stopped and we can not find any lice on the pups so they will be free to go home as soon as they find a home. Taz will need to have Frontline or Revolution applied again in 10 days – just to be sure and that is here with us so know one forgets.

Taz’s sister Paddington is heading to her new home today. I know he will be sad because he does not have a home, but he will find one, he is a very smart dog. Are you interested in meeting Taz? He will be at PetSmart in Eagan on March 8th. This will be his big debut and I know he would love to meet everyone and possibly find his forever home! Taz and I will be there from 11 to 1 for sure and possible a little later if things are real busy.

Puddin – Tazz as people call him at his foster home is doing pretty well. I think his vet visit did him in and he is NOT feeling real well. Last night during the night if we touched Tazz he would cry because it hurt his skin. He has so many open sores. So we will give him another oatmeal bath and put on his special lotion to see if we can get it all to heal.

Puddin did get more de-wormer and boy does he have worms! I am hopeful he will feel better tomorrow when his tummy has settled and his sores are healing a little more.

Puddin AKA Taz went to the vet this morning because he has a light cough and I wanted to get him up to date on his shots and Micro chipped.

Taz now weighs in at 12 pounds! I know you are saying but Taz is a brindle color dog, well I know but he is the easiest dog around. His mother is Violet - 08-081, we are not real sure who the father is, I know I hate that too.

But what we know is he loves dogs, is a little scared of people but coming around nicely and does not mind cats at all. Once he is in your arms he just melts and goes to sleep, boy does he sleep hard and in funny positions! Best yet he did not even mind getting his toe nails clipped! He slept all the way home last night in the car.

So at his vet appt today we talked about his itching and all the bites he has on him that are driving him crazy and we are going to do the best we can to get these sores healed and that will help eliminate the itching and scratching and all that fun stuff. I don't dare put a collar on him yet, because that will make him scratch even more.
