Tess (Bandit 05-360)

Profile

11/2/05: Bandit was puppy #8. She's a stunning puppy who's not black and isn't brown either but a mix. She has a shepherd looking coat color except for her face. She has white toes and is very content to lay on her back in your lap and have her tummy rubbed.

I just have to rave about Bandit. She has been with us for almost 48 hours, and she has been the ideal puppy while here. She has been doing very well at housetraining, has really only had accidents at night when she's not able to wake me up to go outside. But she uses papers in the laundry room as best she can. Yesterday we had a houseful of company and she just laid under the kitchen chairs and either watched or napped. I had to be sure to check everyone's purses on the way out, because more than one of my relatives wanted to take her home!

Here are a couple more pictures of Bandit. She let my cousin's 1 year old baby hug & kiss her without a peep, just lots of puppy kisses in return. And her napping cutely while I washed dishes (I couldn't convince her to help!).

Bandit is growing, as all the puppies are. They'll be four weeks old this Monday!! They are now learning to run (or their version of running). Most of them resemble overstuffed sausages which waddle around on short extremities. They love people. We sit with them and they all crawl into our laps, kiss faces, necks, ears, what ever they can reach. They also appear to like to be sung to. They're eating out of a bowl now, baby food with puppy milk replacer. They're also eating Momma's food, or trying to. We are working on paper training and that appears to be going extremely well for the number of puppies we have.

Bandit was walking around this evening, climbing on my feet while I was changing their papers. When I sat down for cuddle/play time, she bounced around, barking and giving little puppy growls. This is the first time she's really been playful with me, she usually plays with her sibs and comes to me to be rubbed and sleep. She has such as a pretty face.
