Here I am!!!! FD has been holding off on interducing me. See, I have a heart murmur that I need to have checked, and today he made an appointment for me with a specailist on 08/21. Then he can make my spay appointment. That's if everything is OK. Cross my paws. Then I'll be ready to find my FUREVER HOME!!!

FD here. Tessa came to me to me about 2 weeks ago. She is one cute little pup. She does have a heart murmur and will be seen on the 21st. She will need to be spayed after that before she's ready to be adopted, but if you're interested, you can visit with her. Tessa is a little on the small side due to the fact she was a stray and her murmur, the vet said. The vet figured she was about 5 months old when she saw her, so that makes her about 6 months old now. Tessa is just the sweetest thing. All she wants is to play and be with her humans. She loves to lay in your lap, although she doesn't stay long. She has slept with me since the first night and has had no acidents during the night. She hardly even moves. She does like to cuddle up to you, and I mean cuddle. She will push herself as close as she can to you and then some, and it's always right by your head. Tessa is about 98% house trained. She has had only 3 accidents here and those were our fault. She's still learning to ask to go out. She knows sit and no. She really is a good dog for being a puppy and a stray. She loves kids and people in general. Gets along fine with other dogs. Does not gaurd her food from people or other dogs. She would only eat from my hand at first, but now she and my resident dog share a bowl. That was the only way I could get her to eat at first. She will eat from her own bowl if they are fed at separate times and/or places. Oh, almost forgot. The vet that looked at her when she was found said that she's a mix because she was found with a male Golden and a female Cocker Spaniel. I think besides being on the small side, she looks all Golden to me. No matter what breed she is, she is going to make one heck of a family pet. If Tessa interests you, contact your placement advisor. Please remember, she still needs some vetting and her spay before she can be adopted out, but you're more than welcome to come and see her and see if she is the perfect match for you and your family.
