Tilly 07-402

Profile

Today we met a quiet, small, LOVING 9 year old golden named Tilley. She is such a lovely, calm, great golden girl. She comes from S.D. She is approximately 50 pounds or so, red, and ever so nice. She is being surrendered due to a move.

Tilley was groomed yesterday and is so soft and pretty and a very nice coat.  She is NOT spayed and assume she has been a breeder girl. This dog/golden is so soft, gentle, and kind. She fit right in with our resident dogs and cats with total ease. She really needs to know you are there but not clingy. Tilley needs to have her first vet check yet and needs to be spayed. She is just a love. So patient, listens well and watches you. Tilley will pace, around as I am assuming being kenneled in her prior years. She loves the backyard, the smells, and just some freedom. A person would never have to raise their voice around her. Such a nice girl..........a true gem, and we are so very fortunate to have her come in our home, lives and Ragom. I will update after her first vet check. Looks like we have some pretty dirty ears. Very good condition and so so soft! A great red golden in our lives now. She is in super shape for a 9 year old....She will be a wonderful, great foster. Did I say she loves to wag? Thump Thump on the floor....PLEASE pet me! What a love!

Gosh, has Tilley met a perfect, kind and warm forever family today. A couple who understands the special needs of ‘this’ particular lover dog. Companionship, patience, attention, walks, love and all that goes with a RAGOM dog. This is one super couple who are well educated in the taking care of a good dog and family furbutt. They drove a long way to meet her, and were perfectly prepared for a great dog. I know in my heart that Tilley will be ‘truly happy’ in a short time with her new mom and dad. She is going to a great home where someone will be with her most of the time, are very prepared for a new dog and have the love and heart to take good care of her. Wonderful people. That is the other part of the equation in fostering, you meet the MOST wonderful dogs AND families! Our girl was content being near them, walking with them and even ‘jumped up’ into “her new vehicle!” with the folks who really own it!

I am happy in my heart for this wonderful girl, and for this kind and gentle new family who took the time to go through the RAGOM process and travel so far to come and meet her and adopt her forever. Thank you Andrea & Jim! Bless you all…….

Our golden girl is just growing with personality, love and beauty.  She is such a good girl.  Tilley is doing great after her spay.  She had a removal of a small growth on the side of her neck which was fine.  Those stitches come out 7.2.07 (tomorrow).  Tilley is walked with a harness and purely enjoys the scope of the neighborhood and all that is offered to smell and look at.  We are not built for speed, but we walk like a champ.  We have yet to hear Tilley bark.  Very very laid back and adjusts to about anything.  Very easy going.  We can meet other dogs and/or people and she is just perfect/wonderful manners, or otherwise ignores those who are not as well behaved.

Tilley loves people….any age.  She really loves it outside and enjoys being in the yard with me when I mow, garden or just sit and love my pets in the nice summer days.  Tilley really enjoys being brushed, pet or just plain loved up.  Her pacing is very minimal now, just so slight, as she knows she will not be left for a long time and that someone is there for her…….Tilley is perfect around the kitties and they are not bothered by her a bit.  She enjoys her food and snacks…..she really likes that little bit of cottage cheese with her dinner!  Ever so little.  She does not make a sound at night and if “invited”, is major happy to jump up and sleep by you and/or snuggle.  Otherwise she is perfectly fine on a doggie bed or throw on the floor by us (along with the other 3!).

Tilley stays by you and is fine without a fence in the front yard….I believe Tilley would be fine just about anywhere!  She and the others really love the big back yard which is fenced, check out smells, watch the birds or what ever happens to fly or run by!  Tilley listens to her name very well and has a face to just love forever!  She ‘thumps’ or wags her tail in happiness when you are coming for her or ‘talk’ to her!  She is just a true love.  She is so special, and just an easy baby to have.  Our other residents enjoy her very much and the neighborhood knows just hoe special she is!  She has got the personality of an angel.  She is a true delight to foster and is loved a lot!  I cannot think of one unacceptable behavior(s) from her.  She deserves so much and has so much to give in return!
