From TJ's forever family...
Tonight I was looking on your web page. I saw Misty, who reminded me of TJ, a male we adopted in 2005. I always wonder what happened to his litter mates. Misty looks like she could have been a littermate. And after seeing so many in need of a home, I thought you might like an update on one of your happy endings.
While I always had long haired dogs, we took TJ due to timing. Initially, I missed the long hair golden look. I will say it took awhile to see the beauty of this dog. But that we have done. It does not hurt that he is a nut. He has so much personality and my husband thinks he is the smartest dog we have ever had. I did not love this puppy dog overnight. Although I promised him on the ride home I would love him. We had another dog at the time, and still do. While I am not sure they are best friends, I know that they are great buds in the field and look for each other. Our family dog life seems complete.
TJ seems happy. I know both dogs are spoiled and that is what I would hope for them as they are both rescue dogs. TJ does not like to cuddle, as does our other dog. However, he is always at my feet and as the years have gone by, he wants to be closer to us when relaxing. He also minds a bit better, especially on trail walks. One friend said he is the risk taker. He is or was that. But now there is joy when he comes when called and minds us. He is never far and that makes us glad as it seems he wants to stay near us. He is one sharp dog. And while he may not look like a golden, his personalty is what you notice first. Also his coat is beautiful. And he is the faster dog at the dog park. You should see him run there and in the fields. He is beautiful, almost majestic. Ok, can you tell he is loved.
So I just want to let you know that all is well with TJ (TJ or Scooter - the dog with two names) #05-282. He is loved and appreciated. And he is a goof much to our delight.

p.s. It is hard to get a good pic of him as he will not stay still.
