Toby is a handsome, affectionate, almost 4 year old, PB. He is housetrained, neutered, and has no health problems. He has had many changes in his life. His history goes like this. His initial family purchased him and his brother as puppies. He was very happy and loved by his family. Then his family moved and could not take him. He spent some time with a RAGOM foster and was adopted by a family that adored him. However, Toby did some growling, but didn’t hurt anyone. He was returned to RAGOM, where he underwent a full assessment. Toby didn’t show any growling tendencies. He was friendly but appeared depressed. Everything checked out negative/normal medically. Toby then spent some time in boarding. The staff reported that he showed no signs of aggression. He was loving and appreciative. He reportedly enjoyed romping in the yard and playing in the doggie pool.
Now that we have you caught up on his history, we will fill you in on the current Toby. I picked Toby up on Saturday. He approached me with excitement and delight. He jumped right into the vehicle and rode well the entire trip. When we arrived at my home, we took a long walk. By the end of the walk, he was no longer pulling and walked beside me with a normal Golden prance. Since then we have gone on many walks and he has become consistently relaxed and great on the leash. Toby greeted our resident Golden without any problem, but didn’t care for our resident Sammy. We are expecting that it is simply first day jitters. So far Toby loves to be pet and snuggled and is getting used to hanging out with the resident dogs. He has picked up on walking on a leash, sit commands and our routine.
Stay tuned to read more about this beautiful boy as we learn more about him.
