Please welcome Toby 13-234 to RAGOM. Toby is a 2.5-year-old unneutered male. Toby was surrendered from a very loving family who is expecting a new baby and wanted Toby to continue to receive the time and attention that he deserves. Since arriving in foster care, Toby has been brought up to date on all his vaccinations. Toby is currently scheduled for his neuter. Toby is a very health boy weighing in at 91 lbs. The vet would like to see Toby lose 15 lbs so he will be on a green bean diet and exercise regimen.

Toby has already been through basic obedience. Toby knows lay down, sit, stay, & high five. Toby will need quite a bit of work during his walks as he gets excited and pulls on his flat collar. We are currently using an Easy Walk harness with him. Toby is good with kids and other dogs, however cats are unknown. Toby has a fenced-in yard here, however he is learning to be trained to his boundaries in the front yard very well. Toby is crate trained & kennels nicely when we leave the house. Toby has not been left alone for more than 2 hours at a time, so leaving him for a full day of work is unknown at this time.

Toby loves to play fetch over and over again. He also enjoys playing tug-o-war with his foster brother. Toby is an affectionate Velcro dog that likes to be near his people all the time; he especially enjoys sleeping on the bed. Toby does like being reassured that he is OK during bedtime or in car rides. He can pant a bit when he is unsure, but we are able to calm him down quickly. We are enjoying getting to know this sweet boy and what his perfect home will need after his neuter.

Toby has met his FURever family and he has been adopted. Toby is going to live with a family with two young girls and a four-legged brother for him to love. I know Toby will be exceptionally happy there.

Toby attended GOLDZILLA with his new FURever family and it looks like he had an amazing time. Stay tuned for some Happy Endings updates.

Time for a quick update from my good buddy Toblerone. Toby has had a busy two weeks here in his foster home. Toby went in for his neuter last Tuesday and has been recovering nicely. Toby is also being treated for an ear infection which is starting to clear up. Toby did test positive for hypothyroidism and his forever family will need to be willing to give him medication twice a day for the rest of his life. We are already starting to see Toblerone regain energy and be less “panty” around the house which is fantastic news.

Toby is doing better on walks using a flat collar & still loves to play fetch with his foster brother. Toby’s forever home will need to have a fenced-in yard. Though we are able to boundary train Toby and he has excellent recall, he is not very fast with his recall, so a fenced-in yard is preferred. Toby’s forever family will also need to keep regular exercise as a part of Toby’s routine. Toby needs to lose 10-15 lbs, so frequent walks and games of fetch outside are a must for this handsome boy. Though another dog in the home isn’t required for Toby, it is preferred as he has never been an only dog in his previous home or in foster care. Toby has earned free roam and is doing fantastic. Toby hasn’t gotten into anything while being left out with foster brother when we leave the house & foster mom couldn’t be prouder.

Toby is an all-around happy young boy just looking to please his people. Toby has the Golden nudge down to a science and is such a cuddler. For Toby his ideal home is to just be one of the family and to be included in everywhere the family goes.
