4/7/07: Meet Trisha! Trisha came to us from a shelter in Missouri and is very well kept. She is in very good health and is vaccinated. Trisha will soon be spayed.Trisha is definitely kennel broken and appears to be housebroken. She is very friendly and affectionate. She has experienced some type of abuse concerning her collar. She didn't want me to put one on her when I first got her home and she hasn't liked being "grabbed" by the collar to leash her up. She is definitely getting better now that she trusts me. She had a bath day one and wasn't real excited about that, but tolerated it.I think Trisha would be best placed in a home with older kids. I have a 6 year old and 9 year old. She is always happy to see them. She is also the dominate female in our house and tends to guard food.Trisha is absolutely the most unusually colored dog I've ever seen. She is copper red, with black tips on her coat. Definitely some Shepherd in there. About 45#, I'd call her medium sized, smaller than most Goldens. She is very pretty. She does not jump on me or the kids and I love that! She is very well-behaved and quiet. We haven't tested her on cats, but will soon.
