Oh My Gosh!! How do I begin to tell you about the wonderful boy I am fostering at my house? Comet is a two year old, neutered male with impeccable house manners. He has been with me a week and has not had one accident in the house. He does not counter surf, even though I forget and leave things right at his nose level. He does not beg for food when I'm eating (and that is a rarity at my house....even my cats beg for people food!) He tried to get up on the couch once, I gave him a gentle redirection, and he has not tried again. He loves to be where you are, but is not obnoxious about it. He gets along with my two Goldens and all 6 of my cats. He was raised with kids in his previous home. They were sad to give Comet up, but were moving to a place that did not allow big dogs. He is crate trained and stayed there when his previous family was at work or in bed for the night. He has no resource guarding issues. All three Goldens shared a real bone, a rawhide, a Nylabone, and a rope bone the other night. It was like they were at a taste testing festival or something....Too Funny!!
Comet pulls a little on leash, but we are working on that. The only time I have heard him bark is when he needs to alarm me that there is something amiss. As I live alone I appreciate the extra security! Comet is a tall, skinny boy with a deep chest, so he might be good as a running partner, but that is one thing I won't be testing out for you......I'm a big ole couch potato! Comet will be getting up to date with all his shots and be getting microchiped on Tuesday, but he is already looking for his forever family, could that be you?
