Alex was adopted on Sunday and is now in his forever home with the B family.

He has a new name, Tully. I believe it fits him better than Alex. I know that he will be loved and cared for. He will have a new sister named Auzi, and his forever family are so happy to have him.

He was my first foster and will forever be in my heart!

Alex is a 3-year-old male Golden Retriever who came into our care from Turkey. He is a very handsome young man with beautiful golden coloring.

Alex is more comfortable every day. He has met a lot of the neighborhood pups on our walks and reacts in a friendly manner or with very little interest. A little sniffing and tail wagging, and he is ready to continue his walk.

In his first few days with me, Alex has been the sweetest boy. He does not like to be in a kennel. If I need to leave my home, I put him in my four-season porch. He seems very comfortable there. Lots of windows give him plenty of sunshine and a view of the squirrels that he loves to chase.

When I get ready to take Alex for a walk and he sees the leash, he is so excited. He walks on a leash pretty well until he sees a squirrel or a rabbit. He will try to run after them and pull quite a bit. Other than that, he loves to go on long walks in the park or just in my neighborhood.

Alex eats his food slowly and loves treats. I had to try a couple different kinds of food, and he seems to do well with a grain-free, beef and pea recipe.

Alex had one accident the first night he came to my home. I take him out on a regular basis, and he has not had another accident. Alex will whimper a little and let you know he needs to go out.

To keep Alex safe, he needs a fenced-in backyard. He has a high prey drive and will chase after squirrels and rabbits.

Alex is a happy, sweet boy who loves to be at your side and will nudge you for ear and tummy rubs. He does not mind his bath and loves to be brushed.

I believe he will do well with a family. He reacts very well to my grandchildren. He may also do well in a quiet environment like I have when my grandchildren are not here. Alex is a great dog.
