Tyson is an incredible dog that his foster family will miss so much. He is so gentle and loving. He has overcome so many worries and fears while staying with us. He is such a brave boy, but also still has puppy in him.
His foster brother, Watson, is going to miss him so much. They were best buddies, running around the yard together and taking afternoon naps on the couch.
Everyone who met Tyson instantly feel in love, and we have zero doubts he will not continue having people fall in love. Tyson is off to Minnesota to have a Golden sister, Tessa, and spend his weekends at the family lake house, swimming and living the Golden life.

Tyson has been enjoying how nice the weather is getting. He knows the word "walk" now and gets excited when we start to put on our shoes. He does best on walks with the Gentle Leader, but still has learning to do.
With the warm weather comes lots of muddy paws. Tyson has gotten into the routine of walking in the door and lying down so we can get his paws wiped off. He doesn’t mind his paws being touched and is very submissive to the situation. He seems to understand that the sooner he gets his paws wiped off, the sooner he can resume playing.
We surprised Tyson with his very own toy. He was beside himself that he was given a brand-new toy. He carries it all around the house, wagging his tail proudly.

Tyson has come a long way since coming into our home. He has started to show what a goofy and happy Golden he is. He is slowly overcoming some of his reservations and gain more and more confidence every day. Since entering our home, he now will go down the stairs all by himself and go outside by himself without our resident dog accompanying him.
We were originally told that Tyson had no interest in toys, but we have learned that is not at all true. Tyson loves toys. He loves to bring them to you, carry them around the house, play fetch, and throw them around himself. He has also recently learned how to play tug-of-war. Some of Tyson’s other favorite things are running around the yard with our resident dog, ice cubes, and snuggling in the human bed.
Tyson came to us not knowing many tricks, but he is quickly mastering "sit," "lay down," and "stay." He is a quick learner. Tyson is a mild-mannered dog that has a lot of puppy-like tendencies, so he takes some patience. Tyson is on his best behavior when he is around an older dog to see what to do.

Tyson is settling into our home well. He makes himself right at home, sleeping in our bed and waking us up when it is time to go outside. He loves our resident dog, following him around and looking to him for every action he does.
Tyson loves to play and has destroyed most toys in our home, but the indestructible ones he loves to play fetch with and is learning tug-of-war. He can be high-energy (puppy energy), but also has times when he is very mild-mannered. He loves walks and is doing better on Gentle Leader.
Tyson has a lot of anxiety when it comes to new things. He struggles with entering certain rooms in our house (basement, bathrooms). He also struggles with car rides and going to the vet. With assistance from our resident dog, he is getting much better at this.
Tyson did have a positive Lyme test, but further testing resulted in negative proteins.
The vision we have for Tyson is a home with another dog that is willing to play and interact with him, and a fenced-in backyard for him to run around and play. His adoptive family need to be patient with his anxiety and his training, and be willing to work with him and take their time with him. Tyson doesn’t need someone home with him during the day.
