Willow 07-530

Profile

Meet Willow. She is one of the puppy mill girls that came up from MO via AR. She is 1 1/2 and a small girl. She weighs 57.8 lbs. and is soooo cute. She had a bath right away the day I got her. I cut out mats and got her all cleaned up. I know that she felt much better just by doing that. I then gave her another bath two days later. She did not like her baths, but my bet is that she has never had a bath in her 1 1/2 years, so she did not know what it was. The second bath was better then the first one was. She did come right in the house but she was very leary. Even though she is scared and slinks around, her tail goes a mile a minute. She loves to be petted and loved on, but when you come to her to do this, she hunkers down. Willow follows me around outside when they go out to potty. When I put my hand down to pet her she always hunkers down. She also follows my other Goldens (we have 4) and really wants to play when they are but does not know how to go about it.

We've had a couple of accidents in the house, but that was to be expected with her having lived outside. As long as I get her outside on a regular basis, everything is okay. One of my Goldens likes to go and lay in the crate and Willow will go in it and lay with him. She sleeps in the crate at night with the door closed and she does fine. During the day I leave the door open and she likes to go and just lay in it. She feels safe in it. She leaves the indoor cats alone and just ignores them. Because Willow's tail is going all of the time, one of the kittens likes to play with it, but Willow does not know what to think about it and will just move. Willow ate right from the beginning which surprised me and she loves treats and is right there with the rest when I am giving them out. She is a real sweetie and will make someone/some family a wonderful companion, especially when she gets over being so scared and she will in time.
